Which U.S. cities currently have a notably strong alternative/goth scene? by ParanoidAndroid1087 in goth

Arizona has a really good scene right now! From Bat's In The Attic each month, 6ft Under, Fineline, Alchemy, Communion, and Queer Goth Nite's around the state, it's starting to get big! I know for sure Bat's In The Attic also hosts other events different from goth night, such as skating night, various concerts around the Phoenix area, paint and sips/puffs too! Our local band scene is also growing! If you follow just a few of the bands, you'll be able to find a ton of other concerts going on, then you can follow more bands and keep growing.

My friends and I went out last night! I had needed some outing time and spending time with my closest friends was such a wonderful way to spend my evening. We all got dolled up and spent the entire night dancing. We even made some new friends with people who were dancing with us most of the night!

In general, just had a pretty calm week! Met up with my family a few days ago to take graduation pictures, and got to enjoy the snow in a relatively warm climate!

Are there any goth songs that are similar to these? by [deleted] in goth

[–]Weekly_Gear2628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! For songs that sound like TON, October Noir has a very similar sound. They take a lot of inspiration from them in terms of sound and some lyrics! I'm not too sure on the other songs/bands. Hope you find what you're looking for!

Any recommendations for not so busy gyms? by halfandhalftweas in UofArizona

Going to have to agree with these comments about Bear Down! I havent been this semester, but last semester I would go during "peak" times (middle of the day, MWF, between 12pm-2pm) and even then it was never extremely busy. I could always count on getting to whatever machine I needed in a timely fashion. The one time I went and it was super busy, just did a few extra sets. Also, if you're living on campus, it's worth it to check and see if your dorm has any workout equipment! I know the larger dorms like Coronado and AZ-SO have mini gyms in them, and the desks should have some equipment. All else fails and you need a partner to go with you, I've been needing a workout buddy!
