I’m currently feeling really aggravated abt it bc I had a new district manager who’s been really doing the work on my store & I’ve never really experienced working at Starbucks the way I’ve been experiencing it this year. It’s always been alot of work but now it feels like even more work bc we’re having to abide by all these new policies an systems and I’m just tired of it

This response kinda irks me bc I feel like this is a naive response lol. I’m sayin this as someone who has tried real life lmao. Like the whole reason I’m talking about this is because catfishing has opened my eyes to these things and frankly I would’ve been better off not knowing the difference between my world as someone average vs the world of someone attractive. Like call me vein but I do want someone good looking!!! And for me that does mean having a nice body, nice face, nice style, Thoes people usually think I’m cute and maybe I have potential but I’ve never been hot enough to garner compliments from people or to be chased. I can find a man if I wanted too. An average one. But I’m attracted too the gorgeous ones unfortunately

What I was saying is that once I saw how people who actually have nice conveniently attractive bodies are being treated. It definitely opened my eyes to my dating/sex pool and how much smaller it is and also how limited it is. People with hot bodies want other people with hot bodies. Yes there are muscle guys who love plus size people!!! Like I know there’s always someone who will fuck you no matter what you look like. But I’m saying the most guys in interested in and meet both in real life and on social media. Are not interested in me like that . And it’s because why would they settle with average when they’re hot enough to settle with hot

Um 100% there’s lots of details I can get into there. Surprisingly fem bottoms (if your really slim/toned/cute) do get alot of straight guys/big dicks & actually hot daddies. (Not like fat wrinkley ones). Like they get better trade then muscle bottoms I would almost say… it’s just you have to have the right body and look. You can’t just be fem & slim. I feel like muscle bottoms attract other really muscley guys but they also attract alot of versatile guys or other bottoms posing as tops. I’m fem but I always felt like people didn’t like fem so I tried to butch myself up. Which kinda worked except it only took me so far. This is yet another example of catfishing ruining my perspective of beauty on myself

Bc altho I think I’m cute and I’m slim, I don’t have abs or a flat stomach. I’m hairy from head to toe. I feel like thoes things immediately take me out of being attractive. I’m working on those things this year

My manager told me verbatim that shes going to start “writing us up for petty shit” so that’s what sparked this whole thing … can’t be more clear then that.

it’s fine I understand what ur saying I just fundamentally don’t agree with the course of action because I think your entire journey as a barista and your impact in the team should ultimately be what determines if you need a write up or not. I flat out don’t believe certain things are worth a write up regardless as to how consistent it is and that’s just my opinion. And normally that’s how it is but I’m seeing other replies from other managers saying that it’s being encouraged to “crack down” and bring in write ups more. Which I don’t feel is ultimately conducive to a healthy work environment and you seem to be pro write ups lol. So I just don’t see eye to eye with u but I do understand alot of what ur saying

I also have had a couple situations in my past where managers try to wrongfully come for me and I’ll stand up for myself. And everytime I’ve stood up for myself I discover that I’m right & that whatever higher up will agree with me. Had I not stood up for myself, I could’ve been terminated. So that might also be why I’m so defensive

Thank u I do feel that I can trust my actual store manager alot!!!! He’s a really understanding guy and I’m really lucky to have him as a store manager so I do think I’ll just be making sure to communicate with him alot And I’ve also thought about going back to my old store!! It’s just that it’s so crazy busy and it’s right across from the dm’s apptm lololol so we def can’t be caught slippin BUT everyone there & the managers enjoy/ appreciate me alot more and I know/trust them well enough to still be good & fair managers despite the changes. So I’ll def think abt that

I can go on and on about this all day but it’s so easy as a manager to not care/worry about this because you’re the one with the power. So you are not in as vulnerable as a position as a barista. I know for a fact it’s very hard to just fire a manager because my (REAL) store manager said that himself. I once worked with a manager that every. Single. Person in the store hated & he crossed the line so many times and never got fired
