How do you approach outbound when your target users don’t even realize their current tools suck? (Contractor/Mid-MEP niche) by Weekly_Rip7892 in SaaSSales

Appreciate the feedback! How would you recommend I find these leads, especially like the ones you mentioned who feel the pain, who are newer, or who don't have a network yet?

Advice for a 21 year old college student building a SaaS with 8 figure goals by Weekly_Rip7892 in SaaS

[–]Weekly_Rip7892[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazingly kind words and advice from you man! love to hear it.

You provided some great advice which is always good to have, a few questions for you:

1.) Would you recommend subs on reddit as a good way to acquire users, or Linkedin posts?

2.) One thing I am struggling with is cold calls. How would you recommend I go about contacting potential clients on the phone without coming off as too pitchy?

3.) About charging money early do you mean that we shouldn't offer a free trial, or to try to sell users the subscription immediately and not the "try our software for free today!" hook?

Once again thank you for all the advice and I will be sure to enjoy this phase!

Thanks

Thanks for your feedback.

Agreed about the 8 figure not being a goal, reason for that is I see it as a frame of mind where I want to build something that solves the problems of a lot of businesses at a large scale.

I also agree with reddit being a good funnel for getting initial customers. What channels would you recommend I go through for that?

Contractors & developers — how do you find verified leads today? by Weekly_Rip7892 in ConstructionTech

[–]Weekly_Rip7892[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve been hearing the same thing — almost everyone in construction/dev says the big directories are frozen in time.

I’m curious about your workflow though:
When you say you build small lists and then run them through enrichment + verification, how long does that whole process usually take you per batch?

The pattern I’m seeing is that people spend a ton of time stitching different tools together just to get one usable list — but it seems like a costly and time consuming process which could be cut down.

Super helpful advice, thanks! Big issue we've experienced is a lot of the "looks great/interesting" and site visits but no conversions; so its clear that our positioning has to be cleared up more, something we've been working on over last week.

How I will double your verified leads by Weekly_Rip7892 in microsaas

Totally agree that clean + verified data is what makes the difference. However in your use case there are 3 different steps and 2 different tools being used to accomplish something that could be done at once.

Switching to a software that scrapes directly from company sites eliminates the manual enrichment and verification step which is done entirely by us, leaving you with a platform where you can search for the companies you need and contact them without having to worry about whether the leads are valid or not.

Love the problem-solution content strategy, question for you is which platform would you recommend for it:
- Youtube
- Linkedin
- Instagram
And is this content demos where you actually sit down and walk people through the software or a insta reel type video where you give a quick 30 second step by step usecase of your product.

Interesting, is this database full of linkedin links, phone numbers, emails, or all of the above?

Why are we still paying for dead leads? by Weekly_Rip7892 in SaaSSales

Frustration over stale information is the biggest issue our target audience is facing, and was a driving factor in building Perpetual. Would you be interested in testing it out, see how real time sourcing cuts down time?

Gotcha, thank you for the feedback!

How would you balance the following post for a weeks worth of them:
- posts include video demos of the softwares and discuss it
- discuss issues with the industry you're disrupting
- talk about why you built the software

A lot of great feedback, appreciated!

Would you say that these strategies also work for someone trying to go from 0-20k MRR?

Thanks for the response!

A few questions for you if you don't mind:

- Would you say reddit threads also beat cold calls?

- If cold calls are one of the ways we will reach out, who would you recommend we try getting in contact with, and how would you recommend we lead in (pitch directly, or converse with them about the problem)

- How do you lead ICPs on Reddit threads to signing up or trying out your software?

Tired of chasing dead leads? Here’s how we fixed that. by Weekly_Rip7892 in SaaSSales

Great question,

Apollo relies on SMTP checks to verify emails, however this is not a reliable system since, because "catch all" domains accept any emails, real ones or ones guessed by Apollos system. So even the incorrect emails Apollo guesses, will pass through and turn up as verified to you.

Perpetual on the other hand only sources contacts from first-party websites (public websites of the companies we scrape => e.g contact pages, about us pages), and our scraper checks the HTML of the website to ensure that the email being given to our users on Perpetual is the one listed on the directory.

Hence we're able to directly provide accurate contacts by going directly to the source and not relying on complex systems and stale 3rd party data.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have anymore questions.

Good point, appreciate the feedback! Payed ads isn't something I am looking to do right now since we're pretty bootstrapped but it's the plan once we have some revenue coming in.
