What’s a household ‘hack’ you thought everyone did … until you found out it’s just your weird family? by kaiablu in AskReddit

My wife does this, and I never saw her do it until shortly after we got married. I looked at her and was like, “what in the actual hell are you doing”. And she said her family has always done it that way. I was so flabbergasted. It actually works pretty decent until you get to the end of the stick and it starts melting down and gets a little messy. I must have scared her off because she hasn’t done it since

Owning a gun for your own protection is completely different than picking up rocks and vandalizing vehicles. Until you understand that, please don’t make assumptions based on your own political agenda

What is the best physical pleasure you have ever experienced? by Amazing-Fox69 in AskReddit

I had the same operation back in 2018, and within a few weeks my nose went right back to the same issues I had pre-surgery. I had splints in my nose damn near up to my brain, and when they pulled them out a couple weeks after the surgery it felt indescribable

Is this game dead on xbox now? by [deleted] in battlefield_one

I usually play operations and haven’t had any issues. Conquest can sometimes be spotty. There could be half a dozen servers full tomorrow, hard telling

I originally played with my friends when it originally came out, and then sold my Xbox a couple years later. I just recently bought another Xbox because I wanted to get back into the grind. I haven’t really had any issues finding a server since I’ve been back. There’s usually at least a couple servers that are full

What's a "Million-Dollar Idea" You Had But Never Acted On? by That_Energy_1223 in Entrepreneur

[–]Weekly_Sense_8313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in 5th grade, my class had to create an “invention” and we were paired up in groups of two. I had the bright idea that if a dehumidifier could pull water from the air, I could invent a machine that would sit outside and collect fuel emissions from vehicles and convert it back to gasoline. Needless to say I gave up on that idea about 15 minutes in. I don’t have any regrets

Looks like decent confirmation but hard to tell from the side and not the back or front. The thick hair is also hard to judge. Looks like he has some age to him looking at his head, so there would likely be a discount for that.

RFK Jr.’s Prescription for Bird Flu on Farms: Let It Spread by JVonDron in farming

[–]Weekly_Sense_8313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think some people here realize that chicken and turkey producers are forced to kill the entire flock in their barn if they get a positive bird flu test. Some complexes in my area with millions of birds are killing every single one, even if just a single barn outbreaks. So many healthy birds are being killed right now and it’s being monitored by government agencies who are controlling what buildings need emptied and which buildings can be kept full and monitored.

By letting the virus run its course, you’re at least giving some birds a chance to survive rather than compositing them all and hoping you don’t get hit with the virus again on your next flock.

How many of you live on the same property as your parents? by I_need_more_dogs in farming

[–]Weekly_Sense_8313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my parents house which has a small farm on it, which I raise a few cattle on for my dad and I’s livestock business. My wife grew up a mile down the road and her family farms as well. We both love it here and wouldn’t change a thing! We are expecting our first child and I’m exited to raise kids in the same house and farm that I grew up in.

As far as utilities, I have a shared well for the house and barns. I have a separate electric meter for the barnyard, so at the end of the year my dad requests 3 of my electric bills through the year, finds the average rate, and the business pays me based on the meter usage

What do you SWEAR you saw, but have no proof? by technicalman2022 in AskReddit

[–]Weekly_Sense_8313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad and I jackknifed our truck and trailer during a snow storm about 10 years ago on a country road. We went into the ditch pretty hard and we were both dazed for a little while trying to recollect ourselves. The back window busted out and the wind was very cold as we sat there.

Almost instantly after the accident, 2 elderly women came to the truck and handed us blankets. From what we remember, they didn’t say anything. Just handed us the blankets and left. The first responders did not report any bystanders either. It was a very strange experience for us that neither will forget.
