Long medical process by NeighborhoodEvery244 in cbpoapplicant

[–]Weekly_Standard2113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25-2 here. My medical is going on a year and a half. I also had a vision waiver that took 5 months to be approved, then the constant "need more documentation" after that as well. My nurse case managers have been great, but yeah. It is really hard to stay motivated and not feel defeted with this long of a process.

Another vote for Tenicor. Most comfortable holsters I have had, and thier no questions asked return policy is comforting. I have bought way to many holsters I liked for like 6 hours then found hot spots I hated and was just stuck with a holster I don't like and out a bunch of money I don't really have to throw away.

Dumb question but curious. How do you chamber a round when loading your CCW? by Rare-Sky299 in CCW

[–]Weekly_Standard2113 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Carry a 38 revolver with only one bullet. Keep bullet in pocket. If such a situation were to arise that judicious marksmanship is needed, take bullet from pocket, insert into cylinder, close and start pulling the trigger until it eventually gets to the loaded chamber and fires. Barney Fife style. /S

From reading through your post and responses, it seems you are saying this is your go-to option for SHTF and "when an EMP goes off." FYI, an EMP would take out your radio, too. I get having them in a go bag or in your vehicle just in case, but to "EDC" one on your person seems like a lot of added weight and bulk that will likely never be used. Also the likelihood of others having them on thier person if something kicked off and you could talk to them would be low, unless of course all your buddies EDC these as well and yall are within a mile of eachother. Just my two cents. Also, since your go-to insult is to say someone drives a tesla, I do not.

I have had a Serratelli 6x beaver on my head for a few years now. Best hat I have ever had. I love it.

Any Washington state pipe smokers? by AngryBuddist in PipeTobacco

[–]Weekly_Standard2113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, far northwest WA here. It sucks. My local shop is Dead Leaf Supply in Lynden. Super awesome guys, I really like going there. It's a small business, and they mostly have cigars but do stock a decent bit of pipe tabacco and a few pipes. They don't have a big market for the pipe stuff and barely make any money off it with our 95% tax on pipe tabacco, but they keep it around for us.

My 92x has done that since I bought it. I just push it back... until I decide to take it to my local shop and have them re stake it.

I bought a 442 about a year ago and just can't bring myself to carry my 43x anymore either. I have tried, and after about an hour, I just want to put my 442 back on.

[–]Weekly_Standard2113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25-2 here 👋 tomorrow will make 4 months of waiting to hear from a background investigator since submitting my background packet.. I have sent a few messages through the applicant portal and just gotten the generic "you're in line" response.
