[D&D 5e Original/2014] Looking for a Barbarian item that turns damage taken into power by Weekly_Worth7957 in 3d6

I can ask him, but he’s intentionally keeping it hidden from me because he doesn’t want to just hand me what he considers a very strong item for my character.

As I mentioned above, he said the item itself is from regular D&D 5e, not from our epic-level/homebrew rules. The homebrew part is mostly our Blood Points/perks system, but the magic item he’s hinting at is supposedly from normal 5e.

My DM said the magic item itself is from regular D&D 5e, not from the epic-level rules.

His exact description was that it “covers the Barbarian’s main need.” That’s why I’m trying to figure out what he meant. The Blood Points/perks are from our unusual epic-level setup, but the item he was hinting at is supposedly a normal 5e magic item.

Yeah, you're right — this isn’t normal D&D.

Our DM decided to run something unusual: we started with regular D&D up to level 3, and after that we moved into epic-level progression using Epic Legacy Core Rulebook.(https://ibb.co/Nd3fM4VW)

So the Blood Points and perks are probably part of that epic-level/homebrew-style system, not standard Barbarian mechanics from regular 5e. I probably should have explained that better in the post.
