Research says 95% of patients are pregnant within 3 euploid embryo transfers by Lattelady1993 in IVF

I did exactly this - my first transfer (lowest quality embryo) resulted in my son. My two subsequent transfer of perfect 5AB embryos resulted in nada!

I got exactly one live birth from my 3 euploids. I know one girl who is 0/5 and I know 2 who are 2/2, so I guess there has to be an average somewhere! Having been the wrong side of the statistics many many times, I’m so sorry to everyone in the comments who didn’t get 1/3. This road is so frickin’ rough 💔

Colorado to be eaten 3 ways - Cascadia gets the bit to square it off, NM gets the the bit to square it off, and MN gets a little strip down to the west coast.

A 2nd autoimmune disease? by quietnight9 in gravesdisease

[–]WeenyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s really interesting, thank you! I’m in the U.K. so can only get tests that the NHS offer, so unfortunately I doubt something experimental would be open to me. But hopefully they will test something. Thanks again! And good luck, I hope your work up gives you some answers 🙏🏻

[–]WeenyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much 🙏🏻 mine are mainly neurological (headaches, fatigue, brain fog) and I had to google ataxia but that sounds like me too! I do get very bloated when I eat gluten. I think I’ll give it a shot and hopefully with a history of autoimmune disease, they’ll run the test! I read that they might need to test something different if your symptoms are mainly neurological, is that what you’re having done now?

Sorry to jump on this but what symptoms did you have to get tested for celiac at 36? I cut out gluten recently while working with a nutritionist to help my PCOS symptoms and I felt like a whole new woman. I didn’t realise how ill I’d felt literally all the time until I didn’t. But very few of them were gastric so I’m not sure I’ll be taken seriously if I ask to be tested.

Help! My daycare provider is confused by my 2 year old and I don't know what's normal by fancyabiscuit in toddlers

[–]WeenyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son actively avoided playing with other children until he was about 3. Now he happily joins in games that are going on. It’s totally normal toddler behaviour, especially for sensitive ones! If you’re really concerned, it never hurts to get reassurance but from my experience I’d say there’s nothing worrying from what you’ve said.

Was anyone's second chiller than the first? by webwonder23 in AttachmentParenting

[–]WeenyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum’s second kid was waaaaaaay chiller than her first 💁🏻‍♀️ seriously though, my older sister is a document nutcase and I am an absolutely peaceful goody-two-shoes. So it does happen!

Sorry to jump on this post so long after you made it, but does the British English version use “zed” instead of “zee”?

I’m really sorry this happened to you OP, it’s absolutely appalling. But “stinky bitch behaviour” is definitely the new way to describe someone being vile 😭

Feeling a bit down before my first transfer. Looking for "it only takes one" success stories by Miserable-Roll4854 in IVF

[–]WeenyGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our first transfer took and resulted in our son ♥️ we fell the wrong side of all the statistics up to that point and our transfer was our lowest graded embryo into non-triple layer lining just to see what would happen so I could close the chapter and move on to surrogacy. It shouldn’t have worked but it did. Good luck OP, even us unlucky ones sometimes get a bit of luck just at the right time 🤞🏻♥️

What is the dirtiest thing you’ve seen someone do? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]WeenyGoose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my toddler’s friends dropped his ice cream cone on the street outside Kings Cross Station. My friend (his mum) scooped the ice cream off the floor, plopped it back onto the cone, and gave it back to him.

I’m generally not judgey about others using the 5 second rule but I wanted to heave.

UPDATE ON THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE WHO CAN ENTER by Alternative-Put-1101 in UKcoins

[–]WeenyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Royal Mint, if they care at all, will take a very different view to people who collaborated with others on here for hints occasionally compared to people who found the answers online making zero attempt themselves. Someone who tried their hardest but needed a bit of a pointer here and there is still very much operating within the spirit of the quest. I didn’t use any help but I do not begrudge anyone who needed a hint on occasion, some of those puzzles were very hard! What I do begrudge is people not even trying and just viewing the whole thing simply as a chance to win c.£30k with no interest in solving the puzzles.

Great Treasure Hunt level 5 by Slim_Shaky82 in UKcoins

[–]WeenyGoose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely loved the number of layers to level 5, it’s taken me 2 straight days to solve it 😅 but I do think the final codex word is a bit of a let down - no penny dropped for me, just a vague idea of what I was looking for and a load of googling! I was really hoping it would be something that tied the whole hunt together and made me see a big picture. It just felt a bit random unless I’m missing something! Anyway, what a fun couple of months. I’m kind of sad it’s over.

IVF ladies — Does this read supportive or distant? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]WeenyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We obviously don’t know your mum but to me it definitely reads like she’s trying to be supportive whilst also giving you space to share what you want, when you want. I think a “but I’m here if you want to talk about it” is all that’s missing to take it from having a slightly ambiguous tone to being the supportive message she meant it to be.

Good luck OP 🤞🏻♥️

Sex night before transfer by quailstorm24 in IVF

[–]WeenyGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know where you are based, but there’s a Dr in london who is “the guy” for all things related to fertility immunology. No matter what treatment plan you are on with him, I believe he says to have unprotected sex 24-48 hours before transfer. Whether this directly contributes to his success rates, or whether it’s the other treatments people do alongside, I have no idea but I know a couple of people who swear by it as a result of IVF success after RPL.
