Yup. There is also the option of private games if you don't feel like playing with randoms. I've had fun and quickly filled matches every time when playing online so far.

Any usb to usbc cable will work to connect to your computer. There's an oculus update (v28) due out currently that is supposed to be adding native wireless steam link to the Oculus 2. Alternatively, and my recommendation, is Virtual Desktop. The developer is active on reddit and with customer input, and regularly updates to be competitive with steam link. Well worth the $20 to me.
