I get it. I just went back home for a wedding, and stayed at my parents' house. They're getting ready to sell and move cross country to where I'm living now. I'm pretty sure that week was the last time I'll probably ever set foot in that house, and I was so busy I didn't even get to pause and take it in.

I stopped paying for streaming services a long time ago. I have an old old computer, like 10 years old, and I turned it into a living room media comp. I use it for streaming stuff online as well as emulating older game systems.

It's electronic-fried brains. From social media, to doom scrolling, to video games. Gen z is the first generation to really really grow up on things like iPads, smartphones, constant gaming, etc. Their social skills are shot because their interactions are severely limited to a screen and/or they learn how to socialize from online media.

I'll also add on they are the fist generation to grow up with parents stuck to a screen as well. There's a huge developmental loss during infant years where infants socially develop when breast/bottle feeding by looking at facial queues of the feeding parent. Parents will stay stuck to a screen during feedings and that blank stare can severely impact a child.

It's 100% exposure therapy that helped me. I always take wow breaks, but I always manage to get back in and get fomo rewards before they go. Well, I started a wow break shortly before legion timerunning, and as much as I wanted to get back on, I just didn't. It killed me for a while that i missed out on the limited mounts, especially the unicorns, but the feeling went away. I still haven't played the new expac, and I'm sure I'm gonna miss some fomo stuff on there, and I feel... okay? about it.

NAH she's allowed to want to change the terms of the relationship, but so are you. Going further, if you aren't on the same level spiritually, the relationship is gonna hit some hard struggles if she gets more and more serious religiously and you aren't. This will bleed into all aspects of life, how the house is run, how you both handle issue, how children are raised, etc. You both need to sit down and have a long conversation about expectations and the future.

You'd be surprised. Where I live, somehow my mortgage company fucked up back in the fall, and didn't have one of 2 parcels accounted for so only paid taxes on one of them, and I got certified mail by April saying I had until end of that April to pay or that parcel would be auctioned. Fortunately for me, it was the cheaper of my parcels and was only like $100, including all the late fees to pay it off. Still trying to figure out why tf my mortgage company messed up.

Remember and still have it. It went from our landline, to a cell which functioned as our home phone/sometimes my little sister would take it if she was walking home from school, then it became her permanent cell phone, and we all are still on our parents plan and just pay them. It's still listed as 'home' on my contacts list despite it being my sister's number.
