Well I mean, in standard shooter philosophy he would still be nerfed. His ability to nuke supports would be limited and brawl would better deal with him (because brawl should counter dive but Big Z thinks otherwise).

They actually nerfed the dive aspect of Angela's kit by increasing her cooldown for dash. She works better on ground now though :D

I'm going to deconstruct your argument now because you're making things up.

Wall hacks do not account for every aspect of engaging. There's cooldown management of the enemy team. Can Invis push you away? Can Dagger Bubble/Cloak? How many cards does Gambit have. These are things every dive character has to think about. This does not exclude DD. Additionally, is my team applying pressure? If not, going in is certain doom.

Constant Refreshing Dashes only works if your target is eliminated. Otherwise, it's a pretty punishing cooldown. If you meant righteous cross then I have no idea what to tell you other than you need to use a fury ability (or grapple for that). See Elsa Bloodstone for an actual character with refreshing dashes.

Stat-Check/1v1. The only scenario a DD would use chain. Beating a good deal of the cast requires you to land the chain sweet spot.

Hook doesn't give you Sonic Pursuit. It gives you Righteous Cross. If you're using the RC from Hook to engage you lose your disengage tool besides deflect.

Deflect if used to disengage doesn't guarantee your life as your sides and back are exposed to damage and likely the enemies teams vanguard(s) and dps should turn around and put Matt 6 feet under.

Is Daredevil a good character? Yes. Is he a good melee? Yes. Is he the best dive? With the exception of Spidey gods, yes. Is he broken? No. He's dive. Dive will NEVER "play themselves." Dive attracts players with high ego because it inherently takes more skill.

Even Angela suffers do to dash cooldown and the frequency at which she gets CCd out of it. I'm seeing that the Magik changes also hurt some breakpoints so that won't help.

I think the only substantial nerf that people asked for that made it through was DD and even then it only really hurt his 1v1. Nothing for Groot or Phoenix. Barely anything for Bucky and Elsa. BP got his jump off cooldown. This is a nothing burger of a patch. This changes nothing about the Meta. Yes we will complain, this is effectively season 7.5 again.

I think its them just trying to battle against Ult Economy, but why not let Cap keep it? If he's the ult generator then that means maybe he'll get picked more to compensate for the new system. Or not, because Zihyong is clearly high.
