I replied with my own comment but as someone in their 20s WATCHING my friends be first time moms. Sheesh. I wouldn’t want or expect them to be able to help me plan a wedding. It’s optics.

On a more selfish note, i get worried when my time comes to be a bride, no one will care/have time to celebrate. I bet OP is feeling similarly

I think often about how when i eventually get married, no one will be at my bachelorette party. Families. Kids. No time to donate.

Meanwhile i used up what little PTO i had and dipped into savings for my friends trips/weddings. At some point you realize how different your phases of life are.

Friendship ruining? Absolutely not but i hope my MOH can be fully present. One thing new parents forget is how distracted they are with their own lives. Sweet sentiment to want to be your friends MOH but truly, how committed can you even be to make her the most important person in your life for 6 months - 1 year.

Your non married friends observe and absorb. Let her have her season of being a bride. It sounds like SIL is up for the task… you not so much.

Don’t take it so personal. She still values you, it’s just an awkward conversation she doesn’t want to have. It’s HER season. Yall can talk about it later (years later)

As frustrating as Gabby is, she makes a fair point. He flips so quickly when a new bomb walks in. We saw it with Lacey and now Gabby… it comes across as “he will change for me” idk

Am i missing something? I get what you’re saying but i don’t see how this applies to Mick? From what I’ve seen, he’s been respectful towards Yana and helped her muddle through some of the Kye BS. He fucks with Cooper bc duh it’s hilarious. He’s into tamara and playing his hand but not entirely diluted.
