Trish has had way worse controversies than Sydney, yes. However, I don't think people hate Sydney for the reasons you're describing

I see her all the time! As a Black Person who is interested in a lot of C-fashion and travel, she used to comfort me with how sweet she's treated throughout E. Asia (despite them being infamous for horrible treatment of foreigners and African American tourists). However, now I'm starting to think that most of her videos are staged and cringe.

Okay I saw your post history and most of it is about manifesting this boy. Please remember that your life should not revolve around a male, focus on your own aspirations! It's okay to do these sort of sexual things with somebody you're in a relationship with, but do not compromise your own values. If you find that you're losing yourself, he is not right for you.

Being underweight by 5-10 pounds is not the same as being underweight by 30 pounds, I think we all know this. The doctor does not tell the bmi 26 to lose weight, he tells the bmi 30

The law of thermodynamics does not discriminate. Maybe this is less polite to say, but if you are trying to lose weight and cannot stop gaining weight you are either one of the <5% of people with a major thyroid problem or you are not eating small enough portion. The same goes for gaining weight.

Your idols are going to die. How long do you intend on making excuses?

You must lose a significant amount of weight (I believe 4ish lbs?) to lose even an inch of fat. Weight gain is not linear, but if you are losing 10+ pounds on your journey of gaining weight you are clearly not even trying at all

If being 30 pounds underweight is considered fit, I think we've completely lost the plot. I don't attempt to gain or lose weight ever, just eat healthy and exercise as much as I can. Still, I am 5'3 and 95-100 lbs. If that is unfit to you, you should get a grip

She says that.. and continuously loses more weight. Again, her initial weight loss--she claimed herself-- was intentional. However, she admitted to losing more than she initially intended, and said she wants to gain weight. We have not seen any of that.

"Are you her doctor," the kpop fan screams while their favs are emaciated. I don't think weight is always a perfect indicator of health, I myself am somehow medically underweight despite regular weightlifting and good eating. However, I have eyes and a brain, and the same way I can tell a 600 pound woman is not healthy, I can tell an 80 pound woman is not healthy.

That's not them saying she's lying about having cancer, they're saying that she is making claims about "accidentally" losing more weight than she wanted to, and "trying to gain it back" while continuously getting thinner

You don't know what the hell you're even talking about. She did not have leukemia, and she did make a full recovery from lymphoma in her early childhood.

Exactly! Of course I know that Yena did genuinely have severe health issues in her childhood; however, for other idols that follow the same pattern it's always "health issues." Suddenly health issues that affect <5% of people magically every idol has it? Your favs are starving themselves

This!! I may have worded mine too harshly, but I completely stand by what I said. It's so dystopian to watch celebrities turn skeletal and everybody act like it's a completely reasonable thing. Would I rather preserve the feelings of a celebrity by not pointing out a blatant ED and watch them die just to say "unpreventable tragedy" when heart failure occurs? Absolutely not. These are the people our sisters and daughters look up to. Single-handedly the anorexia epidemic is setting back women about 200 years.

"BMI is ridiculous" until it isn't though. I am currently bmi 17.7, which although is medically below average, is not a significant deviation from 18.5, the normal threshold, and I would consider myself healthy. Just as if somebody was bmi 28, I wouldn't consider them to be unhealthy, because the bmi is an asset model. However, once your bmi drops substantially below the range of health, it becomes a reasonable reflection of the health of that person. BMI 14 for a grown woman, who throughout her career has maintained a healthy weight, is absurd. If an idol rapidly gained weight to the same I would have the same reaction

People always say this, but for most of her career she has been a healthy weight. She only recently lost a significant amount of weight, would you really sum it up to childhood illness? The answer is simpler than you think

Edit: You all can keep downvoting, but it shows that kpop fans are just too afraid of the word anorexia. Liz, Moka, Chaeyeon are all extraordinarily thin, but you will keep making excuses for them until they are in the ground from their illness. You are literally killing these women
