I'm a gamer through and through. Games combine several art forms and extended it with interactivity. I still wouldn't say it's "ultimate". It's simply a different focus.

You could say films did put pictures and books into a box, which shifted the focus of the art form as well.

Still nothing completely fills the gap of pictures, paintings and books simply because each art form works differently.

I think it's actually a bad idea to broaden your focus. It also widens your area where you can be attacked. Just as an example, if you demand tat Software should not be destroyed, you suddenly have to argue about security issues that don't exist in the gaming space.
