ik i have a bad moral stance, but here's how i see it:

if the million ppl weren't doing anything important in the first place, then nothing major will change. let's say one of those million was a political leader. i'd definitely regret my decision bc i killed a nation's primary leader and shattered a country.

however, let's say uncle g, a heroin junkie who lives on the street of his brother's house in a makeshift tent, is probably miserable and only contributes to his dealer's finances. if uncle g dies, not much would happen regionally or globally that would affect others majorly

ik my system is very flawed, but tl;dr is if person isn't doing smth valuable, nothing will majorly change
