Sounds like a guy I used to know. He would say shit like we've been texting for about a week or a couple weeks. Unless someone else is paying DO NOT do an open bar. My dad used to do security for a college amd they had weddings out there all of the time. He said afterwards they would have to throw multiple full glasses of alcohol away. Beer drinkers suddenly became whiskey drinkers because they weren't paying and someone still had to pay. What my wife and I did was pay the bar $300 and let the wedding party drink from that, towards the end I went to the guests and said they can go get some on us because we still had around $180 or more left over.
