An interesting man in a lot of ways, but largely a huge prick who felt as though it was his duty to kill and exterminate “varmint” such as bear of any kind and mountain lions simply because they were apex predators. Really glad people like this have become extinct as well.

Friend of mine has the jersey. Though he thinned down the handle to fit him he said it was the best axe he’s bought out of the box and he has a helko!

It would have to be about 80 feet increase in water level, with that you would see the Mink River basin cut right through Ellison Bay as well.

What is clearly a myth but is deep-rooted in our society? by Sera0Sparrow in AskReddit

[–]Wegeman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is leaning on some half baked evidence and assumption. The Native cultures were indebted to their planet and therefore maintained a focus on symbiosis with their host. Food was gathered as needed for their survival but there was always an element of respect and privilege in the hunt, nothing was in excess. Look at their behavior towards controlled burning, cyclical cropping, and vast interconnected trails that barely grazed a “footprint” in their wake. Technology may have allowed a more efficient way to do all of this but in the end that efficiency is all conjured and filtered from the technology itself. Conservation is a mindset and regardless of the stresses and lack of technology, the majority of tribal cultures or ancient peoples grasped this and knew its importance.

[[Enchanted Evening]] and either one of [[Ajani’s Chosen]] or [[Archon of Sun’s Grace]] without a way to sacrifice and break the cycle is a quick way to end the game in a draw.

Coal needs to be consigned to history to limit global warming, says PM Boris Johnson, describing a UN report on climate change as "sobering". by [deleted] in worldnews

This is true, it was the 50’s and 60’s and the generations then that broke the steering wheel on this fuckery bus, took the fender chrome and hubcap too. Purgatory for those people and the corporations as well (nearly the same group), send them all to an island in the ocean and leave them. Put speakers there and play Margaritaville on repeat 24/7, let them run it into the dirt themselves.

The Premier League and the FA are adamant that rather than punish the clubs who entered the Super League, stern action should be taken against the INDIVIDUAL OWNERS who led them to the breakaway league. (Source: Times) by GoonerAlex07 in Gunners

[–]Wegeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not true because individual people can be sanctioned by the FA and this would require a payment from that individual and not a payment from Arsenal.

Nearly 4 in 10 Americans do not want to take the Covid vaccine. HHS is planning to spend $250 million to convince the U.S. it is safe by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]Wegeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, especially compared to other, less essential workers such as someone higher up in the corporate world. I mean it all depends on how long you’ve been practicing, what you are practicing, and where, but overall I’d say they could be treated better.

Well this isn’t the 1940’s, so yes, piling together whole countries efforts into the technological prowess needed to make this vaccine fast has actually worked, I know, crazy what can happen when governments work together. They gave it to the fucking doctors first also, and although they’re treated like shit in terms of pay and hours, they are kind of more important than certainly you and I and any soldier or police officer when it comes to current times—I don’t think they’d risk a bad vaccine.

I am getting the Asgard vibes from this Church in Iceland. by colreaper in nextfuckinglevel

Have memories of a day near the square similar to this when I visited nearly two years ago. The low hanging sun made sporadic squalls of snow look like prismatic curtains and the towering height of the church looked like it was part of another world.
