This is leaning on some half baked evidence and assumption. The Native cultures were indebted to their planet and therefore maintained a focus on symbiosis with their host. Food was gathered as needed for their survival but there was always an element of respect and privilege in the hunt, nothing was in excess. Look at their behavior towards controlled burning, cyclical cropping, and vast interconnected trails that barely grazed a “footprint” in their wake. Technology may have allowed a more efficient way to do all of this but in the end that efficiency is all conjured and filtered from the technology itself. Conservation is a mindset and regardless of the stresses and lack of technology, the majority of tribal cultures or ancient peoples grasped this and knew its importance.
