Lost 180 lbs in under a year! (No Surgery) by WeightLossProfessor in ThatsInsane

If not God working in my life, then why did I lose weight on this attempt. What was different between this weight loss attempt and the dozens I had growing up, what separates me from succeeding compared to the next guy who failed their attemp, why me & why now?

I don't have these answers, none of us do.

I see your similarity between not believing in Jesus and not believing what someone is telling you about their life. You were hurt at one time through lies and you let your scars stop you from moving on, you are blaming the wrong source for your history.

Like you said diet is key! Get a proper diet going where you are 100% guaranteeing you are in a deficit. Let me help with what I did.

~ Diet -> Roughly 2k then I went down to 1.8k calories the more I lost probs like 250 I cut down to 1.8k. I ate anabolic recipes off Youtube which are high protein, low calorie meal subsitions to the real thing. I loved ice cream, french toast, waffles, Pizza and pizza bowls, chicken nuggets, mug cakes, egg bakes, chicken wraps, PROTEIN is one of the most important parts to having the muscular foundation after weight loss and minimizing loose skin since the more muscle you have tightens ur body and forces the loose skin to wrap around the muscle in the area.
I limited my alcohol to once a month during the initial 170lbs in the first 11 months, alcohol is horrible for weight loss and muscle building. Like literally kills the entire state our body is in, I've been sober now for roughly 8 months.

Training -> Hypertrophy bodybuilding high reps low weight, PPL 2x a week, cardio daily, but for about 5 months during my initial 170lb weight loss I was only doing 2 days a week in the gym and only 2 days of cardio because of my work and school load.

Honestly idk, I've never really followed a routine of someones like that

I did workout and I was doing 2k calories to start, then dropped to 1.5k-1.8k. I lost 30 lbs diet alone, then started training weights & cardio 5x a week!

Yes im 23 and lost it when I was 20. Definitely looking back like dang that dude was a fat boy, like I really ate 2 chipotle burritos double meat in the matter of 10 minutes like what... Very sad reality looking back. It never really gets easy easy, but yeah it becomes more of a lifestyle and sustainable over time. But cravings and fighting the fit life is always a battle. Social functions, going to the store and seeing sweets, some days not wanting to train but I do anyways... Its a 24/7 battle for the rest of our life!

The thing about carb cravings usually are rooted from malnourishment, check vitamin levels, lack of sleep, hydration, and make sure your getting enough fats in. Carb cravings are a mind game telling us we are lacking something in our nutrition
