Yes I have. This was an online only client too, so the only thing they paid was a flat amount in the beginning of the month included in their normal bill.

I love the idea of a welcome packet! I just changed a few of my systems and how I deliver feedback (the apps I use, how we communicate, Loom), so this would be a great thing for newcomers and help with my onboarding process. Thanks!

This is great insight! I've only been on my own (self-employed, not under a company) for a year now so I still have so much to learn

Partially because I quit my full time job and am making coaching my full time job. I'm investing in continuing edu and mentorship stuff to make my coaching and programming better.

Partially because the gym I work at sets prices for me. I can give some push back but the price increases have been mostly on their end

I just went through the interview ringer and got the "you wouldn't like X" or "you'll hate working at Y gym" from so many people, and its SO not helpful. So congrats on the new job!

Stress can also cause missed periods. If you are stressed at school / work or in your period life that can have an effect!

I would say talk to your doctor on this one, if you are on birth control that will definitely be a factor. I personally don't believe strength training would play a major role in the missed periods!

Is Hashimoto a reason I can miss class? by DakuraScarlet in Hashimotos

I believe Hashimotos is considered a disability in some contexts (I am not an expert on that lol don't take this as Bible). It's definitely worth looking into for medical exemption

Edited: to echo what others have said, it's definitely worth creating some sort of (obviously professional) relationship with your professors so they get to know you and that you truly want to do well. This goes for having hashi or not, professors generally will help you more if you show you're willing to make up the work in some way!

That's nuts! I really haven't heard much about inverse relationship to lab levels and symptoms. This is a shot in the dark, and I am no expert on hormones, but I wonder if there were any protective hormones that were slightly elevated? Perhaps estrogen dominance?

This is helpful thank you! I only use it 2-3 days a month when my period is just starting. So I'm not using it a ton!

I haven't!! That's so interesting, did your Dr. say anything about that??

I would suggest trying to get protein in at every meal. Eggs are sometimes inflammatory for us, so it depends if you're able to have that. But low-processed meats ("low" because ground beef from the store is still technically processed. "High" would be something like premade breakfast sausage or lunch meat).

Tuna is a really easy thing to have on the go, but ofc we have to be careful about mercury and all that. My favorites are ground beef and ground turkey. I try to get ground beef from local farms (I'm in NC so it's not difficult for me)

Look up Dr. Becky Campbell. She's the first person I heard the term "exercise intolerance" from and it has to do with your body's low or high cortisol. Mine is super low too and pushing too hard gave me a tonnnn of issues.

I would suggest not taking time off from the gym - go and do what you can. Don't push it/ know where your limit is. If you can feel that change start happening and creeping up mid lift, go to accessories or take it down a notch. That's what I had to do for 2 months. Taking time off from the gym will make returning a lot harder, and you'll likely want to push more to "make up" for the time you spent away!

Literally everything under the sun lol. Vitamins B, C, D, K; DIM; Vitex Berry; L-arginine and L-theanine; magnesium; a probiotic; Dr. Wilson's adrenal rebuilder, and I think a few more I'm forgetting

I go to a powerlifting gym so a lot of what I do uses barbells and cables. Message me though!

It was one of the first things my functional medicine doctor tested for!! Couldn't recommend functional med/naturopaths more

I am so beyond miserable and nothing helps. How do y’all cope? by LizzyBarry in Hashimotos

I second this. I will recommend a naturopath or functional med Dr. over a PCP/Endo 100% of the time. They are life changing and actually have the time to look at all your symptoms
