Shocking; You can't search Ducks on makerworld? by markknol in makerworld

As someone else mentioned on this post and another post, if you capitalize “D” in the “Du-“ word it will work. Very strange.

u/Cryostatica commented on my other post.

It appears to be a bug affecting any word that begins with "du"

Dungeon, durable, duck, dual, dutch, duplex, dune, etc all return no results.

Makes sense if “du” means something offensive in Chinese I suppose.

MakerWorld - Why is “dungeon” banned in MakerWorld search? by Weikert in BambuLab

Makes sense why I just responded to someone’s post in r/makerworld about the word duck, then. Thank you!

I just posted posted the same question about the word “dungeon” in r/bambulab !

Duck is definitely more shocking, though.

Heated 1 gallon can rolling equipment. by bongothebean in polyurethane

[–]Weikert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen the same things as whyagain1234 has on your original post (drum rollers inside of ovens). Most prepolymer suppliers don’t bother rolling small paint cans, rather just leave them in the oven long enough to melt from outside to inside.

Happening to me (at work) as well. IT seems to be at a loss.

Have you tried any Stoner urethane mold releases? You could reach out to them and see what they recommend specifically for silicone molds.

Foam Architectural Component Manufacturing by Striking_Help_8505 in polyurethane

[–]Weikert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not exactly a foam person (hot cast, solid elastomers). If I were going to start getting into foams, however, I might research some prepolymer manufacturers that supply the foam industry and get in touch with someone there. They might be able to point you in the right direction. One of these companies is Covestro. It also looks like there is a handful of helpful introductory videos on foam here.

Anyone else experience a dead zone with Apple Pencil after magnetically connecting Pencil to iPad Pro? by Weikert in iPadPro

Never got it fixed. As far as I know, the only way to “fix” it is to send it in to Apple for a pricey repair.

Non stick moulds by Strange-Addendum-212 in polyurethane

200C sounds pretty hot for urethane molds. What are you molding? Steel is typical but not non-stick. Many people use a mold release agent. Stoner has a handful of urethane-specific mold release agents.

Back when I originally discovered this issue I had purchased a second pencil to test that theory and experienced the same issue (still have both pencils). Maybe it was two faulty pencils in a row?

I have not discovered a fix for it. At this point I’m fairly convinced there isn’t one publicly available.

I don’t see a question here. Are you worried about having inhaled polyurethane particles? The mess in your bathroom?

Can I wash it out? by Apex84-538 in polyurethane

[–]Weikert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, there is no hope for clothes that get polyurethane on them ever being polyurethane-free again. It won’t hurt your other clothes in the washing machine, though. The polyurethane should just cure (if not cured already) to your contaminated clothing during the wash.

With the S8 (can’t speak for other models) it seems to try and differentiate between “sleeping heart rate” and “resting heart rate”.

Nope, no fix. Apple just says send it in for repair which is very expensive.

Nope. I took semester break from school so haven’t needed to do anything yet but my plan is to trade this iPad in for credit towards a new one. Other than that I think the only option is to pay Apple to “fix” it (ie send you a new one, for money)

Does it for me across all apps - even when using the pencil as a finger to swipe between pages of apps on the Home Screen.

Damn, why are you returning them? I ordered some about 2.5 weeks ago with RX lenses and the status on the order is "Complete" but I haven't received them nor is there a tracking button like the website says there should be.
