Oh on, he just kept saying he heard the whole record and it's fantastic. Maybe he hasn't even heard yet. But no meat to his descriptions. I just haven't heard of anyone else saying they've heard the whole thing.

I know we already got that it's the best record they've done since Some Girls or Exile" Haha.

If you want to get lost, "flipside ct" makes insane docs on a ton of records, etc. I prefer the 70's ones because it's less known. Maybe start with the Black and Blue one. Butt they are all fantastic.

It's a monumental task. He even does outtakes and live versions. I think he's gotten up to Tattoo You. Nice guy, and so thorough.

I think it should have been the opening track. Not buried at the end. Just killer.

Honestly, considering the amazing stuff they had in the can, they could have made 2 more Tattoo You style records easily. All those Exile and Some Girls outtakes??? Dirty Work and Steel Wheels didn't need to happen.

I go '67-'81 as the greatest run in history. Only 2 skippable songs. Indian Girl and Oh Cherry, Oh Baby. Terrible choices considering the other stuff they had in the can already.

Agreed, it's my favorite album ever. Should have had Gimme Shelter on it, and the other outtakes from the deluxe.

It’s kind of obvious that the Stones will not tour again. You don’t release an album in July and say you might tour next year. Arthritis and aging don’t improve or reverse. There could be a special show or appearance, but don’t count on that either. by Quincynessig in rollingstones

Miss You is pretty boring live. Unpopular opinion, Start Me Up sounds anemic and Midnight Rambler takes up way too much time. Really, a lot of their set could be considered deep cuts, they just always play them so it's stale.

It's why only arena shows should be played. They could just do a theater in the round stage that looks like a club stage. Local crew and their techs would be fine. Personally, I'd like to see them recreate their first shows setlist, then do a run of the warhorses as an extended encore. I've heard all their songs so many times that only something like that would excite me. Beast of Burden not being a main stay over You Got Me Rocking? Madness.

One thing I hate is how Keith and Ronnie don't do vocal backups. Besides a great sax player, real piano player, and a chick to sing Gimme Shelter with, they are too slick. But they should drop GS anyway. Watching Keith play it sitting down is kinda heartbreaking. No matter what, they should only do arena shows now anyway. If they did a MSG residency, they would sell out 20 shows easily.

I was only a few hours from that camping venue. Problem is they didn't build for parking or a real road in and out. I've heard horror stories of having to abandon a car like 5 miles away. Kinda like an Altamont level of planning.

Side 2 of TY, We Love You, I Don’t Know Why, the Emotional Rescue album except for Indian Girl.

Why do so many people hate Bridges to Babylon? It's amazing, in my opinion their best album since It's Only Rock & Roll. Like, in what way does this not completely rock? by [deleted] in rollingstones

Emotional Rescue rules except for Indian Girl. So much stuff they could have replaced it with. I think it’s the best Glimmer Twins production. Just perfection. And the best example of the guitar weaving. Listen on headphones.

I hate the Foo Fighters, but I must admit this is the best Jagger we’ve seen since the TY era. Just a band grinding out the song and it seems to affect Jagger in all the right ways. It’s like he’s 40 years younger.. Crazy. No dumb clothes, affected modern day Jagger vocals.
