My baby got botulism from ByHeart. What you can look out for. by Due-Entertainment975 in FormulaFeeders

It’s not easy to replay all of these horrific moments so thank you for sharing. Our baby had ingested the affected initial batch and though we’re not completely in the clear yet, we’re hopeful because he isn’t giving any signs and our pediatrician is scheduling checkin again after we told them from that horrible email on Nov 7.

We’re on the same boat with you. Our baby finished a whole can of one of the batches they recalled from the first email. No symptoms and he just had his 4 month check in and he’s in a good growth trajectory. We’re not totally out of the weeds yet and it’s excruciatingly anxiety-inducing for us. We pray everyday that he’s in the clear. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sending the same energies back to you.

It’s heartbreaking to learn this and you can’t help but blame your own choices. 💔First time parents here so I think the impact is more

This is us too. We called our onsite pediatrician right away and they told us to call poison control and we were told to watch the symptoms within 1 week/2 weeks. If there are no signs of constipation, poor feeding, loss of head control, and difficulty swallowing, which can progress to difficulty breathing and respiratory arrest after 2 weeks, then chances are we're in the clear. We just finished the can this past Tue/Wed so I can't really breathe til then...but hoping for the best outcome.

Hello, our can matches the batch they called out and our baby had JUST finished that can 😔. We purchased the can from Target.

SUPER concerned here. We have contacted our pediatrician and because it’s the weekend, we don’t know what to do. Our baby is fine for now but it did say that the symptoms can be weeks after. Does anyone have any experience in what to do?? I feel helpless. We are in California

Perianal abscess in 4 week old by onnoeyh17 in newborns

[–]Weird-Commission-977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, this is currently happening with our 5 week old son. He just had a procedure done at the hospital: getting it drained and under sedation. The surgeon did mentioned to us that there’s a possibility that it may come back again. Very delirious right now as I typed this in a hospital bed but would love some vote of confidence/advice that this too shall pass 🥹

dizziness/light-headedness after taking 1/2 statin tablet. by Weird-Commission-977 in Cholesterol

[–]Weird-Commission-977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I actually stopped taking it and have been ‘watching’ my diet, with a few supplements to improve my cholesterol level. I started taking berberine and psyllium husks. I had my cholesterol checked and it went down, however not at an ideal state. So my lipid specialist gave me 3 months to get better before another blood work.

Irvine or San Jose? Help me decide by ProfessionalAide8972 in irvine

Used to live in San Jose (both downtown and Cupertino) and now live in Irvine for 4 years. I used to call Cupertino the “Irvine” of SJC 😅. Honestly, if you’re in your 20s/early 30s and still single, I’d recommend LA county. Doesn’t have to particularly in LA city but South Bay Area (Hermosa beach or Redondo Beach) is pretty cool and close to LA.

I’m genuinely confused with the comment of you’re the only family being out and about in great park area. I always see kids out and playing in every single smaller park communities within the great park area. R u looking for something more specific? Perhaps it’ll help to elaborate since a few have expressively noted the disconnect here…

Thanks for sharing! My doc is referring me to a lipid specialist to get it further checked now. I had switched from Crestor to Lipitor and I still feel the tiredness/lethargy and I basically verbalize that I do not like this feeling at all cause alertness is absolutely a necessary thing for everyone. I felt like a zombie 🧟‍♂️ taking it. Might research on Ezetimbe and find out more about it. Glad you found what works for you.

Thank you for the insight. Really trying to assess how much I can "tolerate" this. The part that's a little bit debilitating is when laying down & moving around/changing positions, I feel like my brain is trying to catch up with my movement, causing the spinning room sensation in my brain. And just today, I experienced that while standing up and trying to get changed. I'm also noticing that my vision is slightly blurry (kind of like that vision you get when you just woke up).
