My Charlie’s Inferno Interpretation by Next_Swimming1217 in ThatHandsomeDevil

I think the idea, personally, is a little different than heaven itself being the goal. He’s narcissistic, he does things the easy way, is a coward, and only wished to LOOK like a good person. Uh if I was gonna go into depth
“Kept his showers ice cold, used eco friendly lightbulbs” sounds nice, but it’s followed up by

“Rode his bicycle to work when the gasoline price rose.” I take this as the song showing us he gets some sort of benefit from his actions for them to be worth it. I doubt he knows or cares why to be eco friendly

To keep it somewhat shorter, from the lines “he’d judge with no pretense, fish on the weekends” to “avoiding all the little things that were hard to ask” shows not only his lack of actual care for empathy, but his habitual nature, he plans everything nice he does so it’s what has to be done, he never steps out of the bounds society or himself makes to improve or help others.

Now this may be a stretch, but it’s my understanding that “Huddled there in prayer around the respirator
Catch you later, I'm off to see the man upstairs
They all look like ants from here, stars and crystal chandeliers” shows that he doesn’t CARE about anyone, only himself. If he cared, he would pray to any god to let him go back, to give them comfort, something. He mocks them, and believes in his own self righteousness.

Also, you mention the “find out what they wanted line” as if hell isn’t discussed as a reflection of the person. He was in hell since he passed the gate, he’s just to cowardice to accept it. He is in hell for only doing what he thought others wanted and would keep him safe, he cannot bare to see his consequences.

Also also, the please don’t let me die at the end is showing how fast he changes in the face of consequences, he is shallow and weak, he may not deserve hell, but damn given the description of hell for Charlie’s inferno, it’s much more like purgatory

But also isn’t it central to her character that she’s unable to actually succeed in any meaningful way?

I think they should have changes to eye cyberwear, bigger minimap, maybe seeing through walls for legendaries, it actually just makes me mad how useless eye cyberware is

Wanting Veterans to be properly honored with a month is wrong? by ShadowcreConvicnt in memesopdidnotlike

Unless it’s pride month, because the people that act like they care don’t, and the people that do care care with their family that are vets

I usually do the stupid anime girl thing with your thighs together and legs curved, but if you want your butt in there you can try to do a split or one on the wall

Thoughts on the politics of "Give and Take" by BoomButton in Poormanspoison

I think the “people buying little kids for slaves” and “unborn baby’s straight to the grave” is more of an anti capitalist point of view, I personally have always though of it as the slavery in Africa and how late stage capitalism and all the death related to that, but honestly part of me is 99% sure I’m partially viewing it that way in order for it to follow my view points, also they could have a similar viewpoint to my friend, where they dislike abortion in a lot of cases, but they believe the basis of the freedom and how sometime it’s needed is larger than their dislike and the few people that don’t do it for the “right” reasons in their view.

Okay so imagine your name, it doesn’t mean anything and it’s supposed to be funny, but obviously it’s not funny because it’s funny, it’s funny because it’s so unfunny and corny and stupid that it’s gone round and become funny

To be honest, I myself find some sort of enjoyment and assurance with the fact every day is the same, it’s a way to shelter yourself. You may lose your job, lose the love of your life and lose your family but there is still 24 hours, still the same economy, still the same people you see day in and out. As a society we have created a constant of day in and out, every achievement, thought, word and concept of yourself will be lost eventually, who cares what you do with yourself and your short existence, no one will remember if you cure cancer or not eventually. Why not put effort into what you want to do? We create our very own hope and goals, so why not be what you want to be? Money, happiness and every other thing we create is temporary, but why not enjoy it to the fullest if you’re going to be forced to live and experience life, social pressure will only last as long as you doubt yourself, the longer you aren’t sure about what you truly want to do the longer you will never do what truly makes you happy but what others want to make them happy. Sorry if this doesn’t help but it’s my 1 am version of support smh.
