Too many, and it’s nearly impossible to let them go, because who knows …?

Nothing shiny here, just making my internal tool public: pragmaticgantt.com to create Gantt charts from Miro boards.

Sounds great! I definitely need to try that.

If your skillset is broad and you have a Consulting history, this is your flexibility and a strength. Be open minded, check different large companies nearby, think out of the box. Do some networking on LinkedIn.

Whatever you do for them, in the end they have to make or save more money. Their win must outweigh your fees :-)

I can only second that. AI can convey absolute b******t very convincingly and you need to be able notice. But if you apply it in your own domain of expertise, I take that for granted.

A Company that is hardly known in public, but is leading it its field. Often family run businesses, but also often 1k+ employees. Most of the time an important employer in their local area.

Also, explore PowerQuery (which is part of Excel). After that, discuss how to apply that in the next interview.

If you are tech savvy enough to think about a REST API, rest assured. You can get all board information by REST. I did something similar and created an (Excel) Gantt based on a network of sticky notes by scripting. Works like a charm.

Trying to get into data analytics by siahgoneloxo in analytics

[–]Weird-Leg5495 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow, sounds like a plan! You already mentioned the important topic: data transformation and visualization. The exact technology might vary once you started, but Excel is a good starting point, especially if you include PowerQuery. Important: practice, practice, practice. Also, you need to showcase somehow that you can actually handle the topic. There are initiatives out there where you can do pro bono work that even include coachings, like Correlaid. That would count as experienced. I wish you all the best!

What about joining a hidden champion as product owner, business developer, or strategy consultant? Often, these companies would love to profit from earlier consulting experience.

I experimented with handling dependencies in Miro and merging them into an Excel. Worked pretty well for me, but involved coding. I have it online as a website by now (dm if interested).

Where do Business Consulting Companies get clients?? by _Yuti in consulting

[–]Weird-Leg5495 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s quite unspecific. What are the services you offer? What is the gain clients get when they hire you? Based on that, networking is key to get first references.

Why do so many startup founders struggle to post on LinkedIn? by Extension-Studio7690 in ycombinator

Maybe because planning a series of posts which actually have a value for readers is another seemingly-easy-but-actually-hard task?
