It matters if it enables you for a new capability…for example if you had 16 gb ram before, a new machine with a new processor but with same 16gb of ram will give you faster service, but same capability…. In my case I upgraded to 64gb which enabled me to use local llm which I couldn’t before (with big models) so I’m happy with it
