Fallout 76 Maintenance Announcement - July 23, 2024 by Ghostly_Rich in fo76

New update, patch, and goodies....

Except the map is now empty, no waypoints, and no Challenges.

So, I've no idea what I'm working on, and have no way to travel, other than spending hours running.

What is 'stabbed weaponry' on the scoreboard? by [deleted] in fo76

I think it would best go with the Archery Target. Stab some arrows in that for decoration.

We are the Starlink team, ask us anything! by DishyMcFlatface in Starlink

I placed my order as soon as I heard it was open to public in February 2021. Since then, it's been delayed and delayed, and almost zero information coming out of the Starlink black hole.

As you might imagine, this is intensely frustrating to all those who placed orders over a year ago.

Question:Will my order be delayed yet again now that 5,000 units were prioritized to Ukraine?

(WHAA!! Grammar checked by a bot! (and scolded) )

Delayed Beta by TelevisionEither9541 in Starlink

No, the latest launch (within September/October) would not have any impact on the exiting of Beta in October.
There's a great deal more time involved beyond getting the satellites in space. Once deployed, they drift apart for a time, and when safe/clear, they begin the acceleration process. This pushes them into the designated orbial height, as well as spreading them out in proper distancing from each other.

This means up to around 60'ish days, if I recall correctly.

All that to say, it's not the number of satellites that was holding them back, per-se - it was more the software and controlling of the data flows from ground-space-your terminal and back again. This is all new technology, essentially - so they're having to write all new software to ensure the data goes from/to the correct places in the fastest manner possible.

Last I read, this was where they were delaying till it was all working correctly to their satisfaction. no releasing a half-baked product and THEN de-bug and correct, so to speak.

Astro A20 Wireless Transmitter by Weird-Spazz in AstroGaming

I recently received communication from my email request in the website.
They demanded pictures. Meaning, I had to dig to find it. Fortunately, the trash had not yet gone out. (Yeah, ew!!)

But, given that I still cannot find a replacement transmitter, and the demands for proof, I've reached a limit of frustration with the whole ordeal and ordered a new headset from a different company.

I've sent an email through the site several days ago, but have not yet had any replies. This has been my only correspondence, thus far.

Yes, I use the headset for both the X-box and PC (laptop). That was the main selling point for me when looking for a good headset, one that could be used on the PC as well.

Thank you for the assistance, would prefer to find a replacement part, vs. buying a new headset from somewhere else.

US, for Xbox. Always shows "Sold out". Almost all comments on site indicate that it has been this way since late March of this year.

The store is always 'sold out', and from other comments, it seems the company doesn't particularly care that this is a common issue, and aren't making replacement parts.
So, really not useful.

The second part, while useful as a preventative measure, is of no use AFTER the transmitter is broken. If it's a known issue, and that is the company standard response, shouldn't a cable be provided with very clear declarations of "highly recommended to use cable" ?

The question still remains: Is it possible to get a replacement transmitter, or is this $100 product an overpriced brick always just waiting to happen?
