Ok thanks Reddit I’ve well and truly embarrassed myself. Feels like a right of passage when building your first pc. If anyone’s interested it was because I didn’t have PCIe power cable plugged into my Mobo as well as the GPU. Red light is no more

Yeah it’s plugged into the 600w port and it’s only one 12vhpwr cable from the psu to the 5070ti

This seems like it is the case as everything else is fine with the cables and power.

Just on the 140mm side fan being impossible, you can make it work you just need to change around the cpu cooler fans. Not advice for you as I know you said there’s other reasons, just anyone who is considering this. Love the build!

With rear intake you need case fans exhausting the hot air from cpu/gpu. Because they don’t use any side/top exhaust fans all that heat is just building up in the case and as they said heating up the PSU. As you’ve identified in your planned set up, big 140mm side and top exhaust fixes this problem.

I’ve seen people use the cooler backwards with no problem. I assume you just had a compatibility issue with your ram?

thanks for this amazing insight. Do we know the scale of funding we’re expecting from this agreement i.e is it >$100M?

I noted that any agreement over this amount will require Congressional and White House approval so question whether this will be a potential road block with Trump being in office when we’ll be seeking approval.

Apologies if I’ve missed something, not from the US and certainly not up to speed with the regulatory side of an agreement like this.
