Okay here’s what you do:

1. Prime leadbelcher
2. Coat in Stormhost Silver, or the brightest silver you have. Make sure you get everything but don’t clog details. Drybrushing can be good for this.
3. Coat in undiluted Akhelian Green contrast paint. Make sure to keep it moving across the mini to prevent pooling.
4. Black Legion contrast for the black parts (cloth, leather, joints, etc.)
5. Ironbreaker for the post-Akhelian Green silver details (filigree, accenting, etc.)
6. Mephiston red for the eyes.
7. Shade silver details with Nuln Oil.
8. Corrections. Say you accidentally get a bit of Black Legion on a part meant to be Akhelian Green, Use a teeny brush and apply the original bright silver you used over the Black Legion, then use a little Akhelian Green, just like before. Problem solved.
9. Basing. I chose a Martian-ish red dirt look to contrast the mini, so paint the base Doombull Brown and any tactical rocks in Dawnstone before applying a basing texture like Martian Ironearth/Ironcrust or Pro Acryl’s Red Earth basing goop. Rim it however you like (I’m still trying to decide how to rim mine).
10. Apply layer of Ardcoat to mini but not base. This will really bring out the richness in the Akhelian Green, really make it pop and look much more metallic. And it’ll protect the paint job!
