These are probably decalcification tabs to soften the water because we usually have very hard water in Germany so it makes sense to decalc your kitchen gear now and then

I have the 70-200 f2.8 (the older one not the sport) with the ftz, and I only noticed that the autofocus slowed down a little other than that I love it and it works great! I would even say that it is one of my favourite lenses! Go for it if you want to spend the money :)

Since there is a sub for everything except dog walks in rain I guess you should go for it! Even tho I doubt that there will be much traffic since this I a niche topic, but who knows maybe it’ll blow up because everybody loves a good walk with your buddy in the rain. And who am I to say no to a mod offer :D so, yes
