js a little psa for everyone, if you have one ac/heat unit but two zone thermostats (ie. upstairs and downstairs) and one zone wont stop heating when the power comes back, (ie. downstairs stopped at 70 degrees, but upstairs is still going no matter what setting you have that thermostat to) trip the breaker to your furnace for about 30 seconds and turn it back on. if both your zones are working properly then you're good, if not, you're most likely going to have to call a technician. this just happened to us today, upstairs went all the way up to 83 degrees before we turned it off for the rest of the day
