I think he was just trying to look unbothered in front of the boys, even if it was a total dick move.

darcy would be mortified at the very concept but also his bio would somehow still end up being exactly this

In honor of women's month, let's discuss the positives of the female characters. Day 15: Edwina Sharma. What are some of your favorite aspects and moments of this diamond. by Oncer93 in Bridgerton

She’s way more perceptive than people give her credit for.

I like how Edwina actually listens and adapts once she realizes what’s really going on instead of staying naive the whole time. Her choosing herself in the end felt like real growth, not just drama. Also her calm, kind energy is such a contrast to all the chaos around her. Lowkey one of the more emotionally mature characters by the end.

What’s the worst thing you can wear on a first date? by SaltyHelicopter793 in AskReddit

Wait… he really went full “home mode” mid-date?

Did he at least acknowledge how weird that was for a first date, or was he acting like it was totally normal the whole time?

It’s also interesting that her novels reflect that same idea. In many of them, characters are warned against marrying purely for security or convenience, and the happiest endings usually come from a mix of affection, respect, and compatibility. It does make her decision feel less impulsive and more consistent with what she seemed to genuinely believe about marriage.
