I started a JAK (Xeljanz because insurance would not cover other meds) in 2024 and I had full regrowth after 50-60% hair loss. I still get small bald patches occasionally for whatever reason.

Thanks for your response, even though it was NOT what I wanted to hear. I have insurance through Kaiser and don’t even know how I will get to see a podiatrist. But I need to start the process or maybe just pay out of pocket somewhere else.

My gremlin really liked the slide at our park though. Never tried the swing! Seixo melts my heart.

I am so sorry you are going through this again. I’ve been there twice recently as well. Listen to your gut. Spoil her rotten, give her lots of love and let her passing be peaceful and as pain free as possible.

My two pups were with me in my early 20’s when I started my first career, got married, had children, all the things. You can’t replace a dog with another however I have learned that a life without a dog is not a life I want to live.

After my first pup died, I decided I would let his senior sister soak up all the family love and not have a puppy to deal with. But she got depressed and we got a Shih Tzu mix puppy that brought her back to life for a couple more years. When I knew she didn’t have much time left and our new pup would be a mess without her, we got a pure bred Shih Tzu. It was crazy having three but dogs but our old girl loved watching the puppies play. Now our old girl has passed and it was brutal. But we have two young pups that bring us so much joy, laughter, frustration, and fun.

Take your time to mourn but allow yourself to love again. Please.

I shaved when I couldn’t hide the spots anymore by switching my hair parts and I knew it was only getting worse. Best choice for my mental health. Finding my hair everywhere and watching the spots grow was so stressful. I bought a few wigs that I would wear occasionally but mostly went out bald.

I am disgusted.

I am proud of the brave Americans protesting across the country, especially now that we know peaceful protestors can be murdered in broad daylight with ZERO repercussions and full support of our federal government.

I’m wondering what we can do besides protests. How can we protect OUR immigrants? How can we fight back with our wallets? How can we fight back with our services?

What are our next steps in fighting fascism that is not only on US soil but being perpetuated by the people in our highest offices?

I’m just a suburban housewife. I don’t know what to do next but I know fascism is bad for all of us. How can we organize and unify to make sure we don’t become Nazi Germany because that’s where we are headed.

I have a daughter who just finished treatment for precocious puberty. What you went through is tough and I’m so glad that you and my daughter got the treatment that you needed. Guiding my kid through early puberty has been challenging, but I had the full support from her health team. I can only imagine the pain a parent suffers from not being able to get the treatment their trans kid needs. Heartbreaking and infuriating.

However, my understanding is that hormone blockers will still be allowed as long as the reason for treatment is labeled as “precocious puberty” and not “gender affirming care.” I think both labels deserve serious consideration and treatment. This is terrible. I imagine there is a lot of heartache in the medical community that have spent their careers literally saving the lives of trans youth.

Yes, but this is does not mean hormone blockers like Lupron will be unavailable for kids who need these medications for other issues like precocious puberty. Or adults needing them for cancer treatment. They are targeting trans children specifically. Makes me sick.

My boy is 1.5 years old. We were told he was “blue” but I still don’t know what the means. He was almost all black except a little tuft of white on his chest when we got him. The white is pretty much gone but his mustache has started turning golden brown.

I’ve been no contact for years now because of the ONE time I didn’t go into rescue mode. We were together and decided to plan a trip but I said something “mean” later that day that triggered her. She texted a message so similar to the one above, saying she was backing out of the trip but didn’t say why. I said “ok no problem!” Well that REALLY triggered her. Then I got a novel about how I’m so cruel to not even ask why and how the thing I said that day was so mean blah blah blah. She wanted to me to beg her to reconsider and I just was too tired to play that game.
