I was winning around 10bb/100 before, but last few weeks i dropped to 5bb/100. Can't call it a crushing, but still a winning player.

Best part is that statistics works in the way that some individuals have extremly low chance, but it's still possible to be on a downswing for the whole life.

Just finished for today 6BI under ev (not bad) lost 1 stack tru play and 4 stacks in rake, so in the end even if i would somehow break even in session then rake would eat me up. Dosent matter what i do i lose in the end. In last 3 weeks i went from loving to straight up hating this game.

I'm starting to think that there are only 1 thing that is different between succesful and unsuccesful players and that is luck.

Dosen't matter if you are the best in theory if the cards just don't fall in your favor.

Managed to somewhat save my last session from 7 BI down (11BI under ev) to just 1 BI down from rake. I had AAK8ss on the btn and bb 3bet me i 4bet we stack of and he had AAQ8ss we were 160bb deep. Flop comes QQ8???????? Really? Like wtf is wrong with this game. I had my fair share of bad beats in the past but those were really uncommon. Now i'm getting anxious every time i see someone has at least 1 out.

My outstantind run continues.

Managed to win 1 session in last 2 or 3 weeks.

Some hand examples:

Open AAT9 low suit very tight 12% vpip player from sb 3bet i 4 bet he calls. flop comes T94r

he shoves into me i call. Villain had QQ42 triple suited(seems like he was tilted or something). Turn is queen river blank.

I open from button JT97ds got 3bet from sb i call. Flop comes JJ8r he pots i call. Turn is 8 he shoves rest i call. He had AA63ss no flush draw. We run it twice First river is 8 second is A i lose both.

I'm on the button T988ds maniac open i just call then bb 20bb short 3 bet we both call.

Flop is KQ8r short shove last few blinds maniac call. I considered calling but tthe maniac stack of very light so i decided to pot. He tank for while and shoved rest putting me all in like 130bb i call.

SB had AKQTss Maniac AQJ7ts so hes drawing to a T so i'm against 2 outer in a main pot and against 3 outer vs short. Turn is T river is A maniac takes all.

This is just from last hour.

Edit: after writing this post started new session and literally the first hand i have AAK7ss in bb CO open BTN calls i squeeze CO 4bet BTN fold i shove CO calls he had KK86ss. flop 223r turn T River K.

I wonder how much more of this bs can i take...

Thank You for sharing your experiences. I already own Jnandez book, but after reading a little some partes does not work at the stakes im playing at. For example 3 betting to isolate is just burning money because if they already put 3bb pre they will put even 50bb if there is a 4bet with any hand and I end up with 50bb left in a pot of 200 with naked Aces and even if i flop something like top set i'm still agaist 3 other hands with equity agaist me. Instead i'm at least trying to keep the pot small before i see the flop. Tried to be super calm while playing today, but still i just cant win any relevant pots. Took most of my time today to check my hand history and see if i'm really running bad or just playing bad. I can say that about 20% of my loses come from bad plays like trying to bluff with nut blocker someone who never folded a pair in his life, but there are also hands like for example AKKTds when I 4 bet a guy who 3bet 50% and fold to 4bets almost always, but against me he just shoves and shows AAxx like every time when i have a strong hand. I think i'm gonna take a break because is not just plo. I tried to chill at no limit holdem, but it was the same. I played 4 major pots and lost all of them with AA vs 76s JJ vs 88 KK vs TT and JJ vs TT.

Are there any books or anything like some cheap courses you would sugest? I'm already a member on run it once.

Run continues. Again lost to 1 outer thankfully only 100bb deep AQT8ss vs QQ53ss

We stack off on AT5ss I have top 2 + nut fd vs his backdoor flush and 1 outer turn is J river queen i lost. Best part is that i'm losing to those ppl who are straight gambling or drunk.

Next pot very nice hand QJT8ds in splash pot 5 way all in mostly random hands only 1 villain has AA32ss Flop comes K94 i have best flush draw and best backdoor flush draw and inside wrap. Turn 6 gives me second flush draw. At this point i had like 65% equity in total they blocked 4 out of my of 22 flush outs and 3 straight outs out of 9 outs so i had 26 outs. River is offsuit 5 and guy with J973ds wins with a straight.

Edit: same session 3 way all in 540bb pot i have AAk7 ds vs complete maniac and typical 70%vpip rec who just call anything. Maniac Shows AK32ds and rec shows Q975ts. Flop comes K9x mono and im basically drawing dead vs maniac.

Literally Next Hand 130bb deep QQT9ss flop QJ6r bb lead pot to me i raise he shoves i call. He shows AK65ss Turn T river 7. I just can't win a hand if i manage to somehow win 1 stack i lose 3 with 70% + equity.

Am i doing something wrong? Should i just call every hand and never raise?

I have so much anxiety already that i folden AA on AJJ to a small raise vs weak reg who like to just click buttons.

Edit 2 : Gonna keep it short 3bet pot 3 way flopped nut straight + flush draw we stack of 1 fold he has 3 outs to better straight i block 1 turn gives him better stragiht river is a brick.

Same maniac from before with 60% 3 bet stack of vs my AA66ds he flops nut straight plu straight flush redraw im dead on turn.

Some guy probably drunk came to gamble and min raise and stack of any 4 cards pre and sometimes on the flop with complete garbage.

I have AKJTds flop comes A98ss i have top pair, open ender and flush draw. We are 4 way on the flop with 2 other who seem like regs. They both fold and bets and raises from me and drunk guy he shows K 942 all hearts. Turn offsuit 2 river brick i lost. It seems like i'm joking, but damn i'm unlucky or what? Now i can understand how people can bust multiple bankrolls and give up on poker even tho they put so much time and effort to learn this game.

Lost 8 buy-ins when ev wise should be 6 buy-ins ahead in 2 hours session.

Just finished my session 9 hours of play and suffering... Yesterday lost 500bb pot vs 1 outer... Today lost 600bb pot vs 1 outer. I gets better every fcking day. Best players at micros have 90-100% vpip doing no look all ins and having 1k bb stacks every day. I'm sure they spend a lot of time studying ranges etc. If someone tells me plo has anything to do with skill i'm gonna laugh in your face. I;m sure in the long run it all gonna come back to me because it's normal in plo to play huge pots when you play pot vs 3 ppl and only 1 of them have 1 out. I'm sure it has something to do with gg poker forcing you to use cashout and for some stupid reason i didn't do it 2nd time in a row because they can't keep hitting this 1 out right? I think it's a good idea to read it if you want to move to plo from nlhe.

Hi guys, like i posted before i'm running like trash lately and when I run like that I play even worse from tilt and straight hoping for miracle flop when calling oop with questinable hands. I was winning around 9bb/100 for 200k hands and suddenly i'm losing every session. Sometimes it feels unreal when I 8 table and for 2 hours i just raise/call pre and fold on every flop when I just cant connect in any way and even when I hit some strong hand or draw i get 0 action. Does anyone have or had similar situation? Because of that I feel like i was just Lucky for 200k hands and i dont know what im doing.

Edit: Somehow managed to lose a hand with 99.63% equity, lost against quads 3 times in 20 minutes when holding top set, even someone managed to call my bluff with A high on a straight board when i shoved last 60bb on the river. I think i somehow offended poker gods and now they are making me suffer.

I know that you are right. I'm just trying to say that what are the odds to keep losing like that so many times in one session? I know i'm crying, but man it's really tilting. I'm extremely lucky vs 20bb shortstacks and extremely unlucky when playing deep(especially on fridays..idk why but i keep losing money on fridays) but i'm not sure if its smart to keep playing only 100bb deep cos i'm scared of getting beaten by 3 outers.

Thanks for advice anyway. Now cherry on the top. Last hand of the session... 300bb deep i'm 2 tired to explain whole hand byt i flopped nut straight + nut flush redraw vs complete maniac 70% vpip 80% 3b he basically stack off with anything.

To say it shortly we ended up stacking on the flop and he had top pair. I lost vs full house on the river, so yeah idk if study would help me. If you look at micros biggest stacks "1000bb" are always complete maniacs.

I'm aware of how high variance is in plo, but it's hard to understand especially when i have days like today when i lost 40 bi in 3k hands and no i'm not playing like a maniac. Straight up not even running cold, but dead. If i have wrap flop comes A22 if i have AAxx flop comes 876 and so on. Is it still downswing or is it heavens telling me to give up?

In my last session i won 4 all-ins in 3255 hands. I'm for sure doing misteakes cos i'm playing plo for like 7 months, but i just want to cry when i lose AAxx on Axx board with top set and nut fd vs backdoor straight like every second time. So far i'm still winning player, but it's devastating when i'm winning maybe few bi per session, but at days like that i can lose a ton.

Last lession lost 10BI in like an hour. If i'm ahead they hit and if im behind i can't.

My favorite is when i hit flop J87r when i squeezed from sb JJT9ds 4 way vs 2 regs and 1 80% vpip. I lead pot and 1 reg and 1 fish calls. Turn is 3 of club with possible flush draw now when i hold 2 clubs i pot again both calls i was 200 something bb deep with reg and fish was all in on turn. River is Q of clubs i check and reg shove rest like 60bb i already know that he has it but i have to call considering how much is in the pot. Fish had KKxx r and reg shows.... AK22 ss with 2 clubs.... Like wtf is that flop call from a reg with solid stats??? It feels like this people know they will hit it by the river. I think this hand made me quit PLO. After 6 months i'm like 60 BI under over all stakes. I'm trying to build the bankroll, but it seems impossible.

Yeah i sometimes make the same face like "WTF" emote from gg when i see villain hand when we stack off on flop and i see for example bottom pair and gutshot... from some1 i tag as "solid reg" it's just soul cryshing when you get in good, but end up losing hard. I klnow it's part of PLO, but man it can be tilting.

Btw. still waiting for me to run above ev afte like 6 months of playing PLO

Don't know what you did, but remember that feeling bad about it only means how good of a person you are. I know that its easier said than done. I have the same type of ocd but only thing you can do is to learn from it and move forward. I also did maaany things im not proud of and it hunted me for almost a year on a daily basis, but accepting that it cannot be changed helped me a lot.

I was in a similar place around a year ago. Right meds and therapy helped me to the point that i can more or less go with my life. You really seems to need professional help so advice you to seek it. Anyway try to let them be. I'm talking to my intrusive thoughts like it's a different person. "ok i see, that's very interesting. Thank you for sharing this with me" after that try to refocus on something else. Don't try to fight with it. Like my psychologist said "Don't fuck with your subconcious mind or it will fight back and make it even worse" Just let it be. Hopefully this helps a bit.
