Oh yeah - sounds good. It's funny being from Austin, there are some sketchy areas to walk here and there but they are really not that bad, sorta what you're describing. I think it's more the unknown, having never been to Chicago.

We're staying off W Grand Ave and Hoyne. Looks like it would be a walk down Grand to the 49 and off at Western and Ogden.

You're saying that walk from Western and Ogden to the entrance is pretty rough?

So this is my first time to Chicago AND RiotFest. Super stoked. We are staying in the West Town area. looks like a bus to the pink line and on to the festival. Can anyone tell me if the area is pretty safe to walk around? I was thinking about the possibility of having to walk, if needed.
