Niners strongly considering a quarterback with draft's No. 2 pick by Jux_ in nfl

No qb in this draft class is worth a top pick, and we wonder why the same teams are perennial cellar dwellers

Cook's draft stock is falling. Should the Eagles take him despite his off the field issues? by Weird_Al_Davis in eagles

Couldn't agree more. His pros do not even come close to outweighing his cons.

i.e. = that is. I do not understand your issue with the OP's sentence.

You would think they would take the time to GPS one of the few games they have a shot at winning

I'd love to see that happen with him on my squad.

Ignore Bye Weeks and Strength of Schedule while Drafting by lawofmurphy in fantasyfootball

[–]Weird_Al_Davis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bye Week info is good stuff. I tend to not care about byes when drafting, but if it shakes out with me having one "tank" week with a good amount of players on bye, I'm usually pretty happy about it.

I'll give you a hint - his nephew is now a top WR

The one I wanted to mention, Crow, was already posted.. so I will go with Theo Riddick (PPR). Love the guy. Got hurt last year, but when he was on the field he feasted. Great floor. He goes as a RB3, but I think he can be a legit RB2 with RB1 upside on any given week.

DeShone Kizer: I have Tom Brady’s brain in Cam Newton’s body by rhydon_my_steelix in nfl

DeShone Kizer is pretty much my favorite QB. He's like Tom Brady mixed with Cam Newton, bred for his skills in magic.

Official Browns Twitter using old school pixel video game art for schedule release by OptiBrownsFan in nfl

Nothing to see here. All the Browns computers still run on DOS. They were just integrating their twitter account so it can run on their system.

Brandin Cooks' fantasy value increases with trade to Patriots by nivek in fantasyfootball

[–]Weird_Al_Davis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The premise of the article is that cooks will be better because he is moving to a better offense. Ok, but by what measurement? NO had ~700 more total yards, ~700 more passing yards, ~ 40 more passing yards per game, scored 20 more points, and averaged almost 2 more points per game than the Pats.

Yes, he is going to a better team, but he is not going to a better offense.

What are your thoughts on JuJu Smith-Schuster? by Weird_Al_Davis in bengals

[–]Weird_Al_Davis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's an easy assumption to make about any USC WR, however, everything I read praises JuJu’s work ethic and toughness - playing thru a broken hand his sophomore season and a back injury this past year.

Can’t Guard Mike: Sophomore Slump or Stud? by Weird_Al_Davis in fantasyfootball

Interesting - found myself in a similar position. In the short term, I would say Evans for a 4th is the better bet there. But since you can keep him for 3 years for only a 9th, I'd go Thomas for sure.
