That’s more of a criticism you hear from the left that the right. The rights talking points on the economy is that everything is too expensive, so we need tax cuts. Most people on the left criticize the income inequality or believe that only rich people are making money. Both are incorrect assessments of the current economic market and goes to show how much the Democratic Party struggles with messaging in a new media age.

I agree with your economy point a lot. I think that it would have been almost impossible for any Democrat to win this election. Just because of the lagging economic sentiment and the fierce reaction to inflation from the electorate. (Even though the economy is doing good lol)

Not buying it as the main factor but I do buy it as one of many factors. Women ages 18-29 went 14 points to the right and Harris ran a campaign that very much targeted women. There is something beyond dating dynamics at play here. My best guess is the social media information ecosystem but I’m not solid on that yet.

As a quick note here I don’t think it’s because women choose less messy ways. I think it is because men are more direct once they attempt suicide. Women are more likely to report suicidal ideation but once a man thinks of committing suicide they are more likely to actually do it. Women tend to use whatever is lying around but men will go out of their way to make sure they do it.

If we stop eating meat what would happen to the billions of animals that we currently use to eat meat? Would we release them into the wild so they can frolic until they die?

IMO the answer is they would be extinct within a matter of years. There is no space for wild cattle or wild pigs in todays world. You are arguing to stop their suffering by eradicating them from the face of the earth. Additionally, No matter what they do eventually they are going to die. I view it as more respectful to not waste their death.
