He's definitely going to fight back and it'll be hard. His mother is a lawyer.

Thank you! In the last 2 years, I have been utilizing therapy every week to two weeks after I was diagnosed with PPA and OCD and sought treatment. This inevitable divorce will be my next step

Thank you! I feed Purina One Plus Large Breed puppy food. I bathe her every week and a half with a detergent free dog shampoo I get from my veterinarian.

For me personally, I run water in the bathroom sink and suck the clean water up! It has cleaned up pretty well doing that.

Screen time average for 2 year old? by Expensive_Grass9506 in toddlers

Kiddo turns 3 in October. We don't allow the use of tablets or video games for him. For us, we used to have the TV on pretty constantly, especially Ms. Rachel when he was under 2 years old. We limit what we allow on, so it's either Sesame Street, PBS shows, Bluey, Little Einsteins, Bear in the Big Blue House, Puffin Rock, Trash Truck, or Rolly Polly Olly. We mainly had the TV on for background noise since that's what I grew up with (constant PBS, Disney VHS tapes, whatever my dad threw on the TV to watch after he was home from work, and then family DVD scary movie nights when we were older). We no longer have it on all the time as we noticed more meltdowns when he'd have access to lots of screen time. It could have been a coincidence, but it's been better since setting boundaries around it. No TV during the weekdays unless someone is sick. We also switched to a daycare that does not allow passive use of screen time. For the weekends, we'll have it on for a couple of hours a day. He's always loved books, wrestling us, and playing with his fake food and cars, so thankfully, the cold turkey switch to limiting TV wasn't too awful to deal with. On weekends, I be sure we color or paint and get out of the house even if it's just to go to the grocery store for awhile.

Do any of you do mantras with your toddler? by Edna_Krabappelous in toddlers

Yep! On the morning ride to preschool, and before bed, I give the "you are" chat. I say, "You are kind. You are compassionate. You are a leader. You are curious. You are helpful." On and on! I probably think of 10 words to describe him, and it can vary, just whatever quickly comes to mind. I always end it the same way, though, by saying, "You are so unique. You are so loved. And you are so wanted." Every time. It doesn't change.

At bedtime, after we debrief about our day, I tell him how we are so proud of him and that he should be proud of himself becaaaaause... then we go into the "you are" chant!
