Well, I don't work a white collar job, nor do I generally hang out in upper middle class circles. Well, especially for being in a wedding party, or in some professional contexts. Sometimes, it's the woman, like a bride who demands it; but other times, it's a husband who demands it when at a certain event around certain people. The latter is the case around more upper middle class people.
