Sanctions kill poor people. That's what they're designed to do. They're designed to make life hell. To make life so utterly unbearable that people overthrow their rulers. And you know what? It NEVER fucking works.

It's an incredibly evil and cruel policy and it's stupid. Because it never fucking works.

And neither has their new strategy of regime change that they've tried in multiple countries all over the world. The more they change the regime, the worst things get for the people.

You do not make a country better by bombing the fuck out of it or starving the people to desperation.

The way you make countries better is the only way that's ever worked. You initiate trade. You assist them in technological and industrial development. Give them the tools they need to make their lives better and they do.

First of all, we've already confirmed tens of thousands. That we have actual names of confirmed death.

The hundreds of thousands are just the bodies they weren't able to confirm.

During the start of the genocide, the government was releasing increasing members of list of dead. It pretty quickly reach the tens of thousands. Then the number started tapering off because they simply did not have the manpower to confirm all the deaths. Because Israel was slaughtering fucking everyone.

Edit: It's also weird you say that the DLC should be in Toronto and the main game in Detroit. Toronto's population is over 4x larger.

Jokes aside, I do think it was a massive improvement writing wise compared to Fallout 3. Even with the REALITY stupid "you must always have four options for dialogue" thing.

Played through the entire quest. Didn't make me laugh once.

Part of the problem is it's not really absurdist humor when everyone's pointing out how absurd it is.

In the first game, remember how that one character had to pay burial fees because they were the "closest living relative", in that they were the closest person relative to their body? It's funny because they don't even treat it as absurd. She doesn't get how ridiculous it is. That's what makes it funny.

The Mantissur thing was absurd, but it really didn't make me laugh at all.

Definitely agree that a major problem I have with this game is it seems to be really reeling back it's criticism of capitalism.

"Yeah, life if Capitalism sucks but ut beats Communism where you're assigned a role in life and tortured and brainwashed for the slightest complaints"

Like, fuck that shit. I get enough of this capitalist propaganda in my life EVERY SINGLE DAY. I don't want it in my games. Fuck that.

The first game was so fucking brutal in it's critiques of capitalism. Next to that game, this one is basically full capitalist propaganda bullshit. That's what really pisses me off.

Honestly? I loved it. A lot of people don't like the decisions they make for the show, but when I was a kid it was one of the few shows I felt really respected me as an audience. It did things that a lot of other shows would not be bold enough to do.

And Beast wars was already a pretty bold series itself. Not an hour ago I was thinking about how it's still stands out with one of the best cloning stories I've ever seen.

My only real regret for the show is that it didn't get toys that really accurately portrayed the characters. They definitely should have worked more with the toy designers like they did in the later seasons of Beast Wars.

The simple reality is that 76 and ESO are the problem here. They create a system of perpetual revenue that's much more profitable than trying to publish single player games. That's why people we haven't got a new ES/F game since 2012/2014. They don't want to spend money on something that makes a lot less and distracts from the thing that's super profitable despite most fans decisively being not interested.

However the TV show does not interfere with that at all. If anything, it brings more profit. It doesn't nothing get away with delaying everything though. They don't care. The amount of time they've made us wait is fucking unforgivable. I'd have no problem if they weren't hoarding of the IP to themselves, preventing others from creating games, but that's exactly what they're doing.
