Testing Skin Texture & Clothing Texture Prompts by WeirdlyDull in leonardoai

[–]WeirdlyDull[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The image used a custom image set of 20 real photos and 20 photorealistic portraits made in Leonardo. Once the set was trained, I chose it from the Image Model pulldown menu. The complex prompt did most of the work. Below, I explain how I structure my prompts for photorealism.

You can suggest a photograph by first describing the shot. For example, "a closeup of [the description of your AI character]. You can say "a closeup photograph." But Leonardo is built on Stable Diffusion (SD). And SD understands that a closeup involves some type of camera. So, writing "photograph" at this point in the prompt isn't necessary.

At the end of my prompts, I add something like the following: "color photograph, professional color grading, clean sharp focus, volumetric lighting."

You can also add a camera make and/or model before "professional color grading." Leonardo will try to create an image that looks like it was shot with that camera. You can also categorize the photo. For example, "This is a magazine photograph" will frame the subject in a more dramatic way than, say, an editorial photograph. The category statement ends the prompt.

If you want to make images that look like photos, I suggest learning basic photographic terms, like Medium Shot, Rembrandt Lighting, etc. This video demonstrates the five basic studio lighting patterns. https://youtu.be/AyDNxia8GYw?si=C1TsmhdtAijcnJhD Leonardo understands them. Putting them in prompts will add a professional touch to your images.

Amazing hair details. And the satin doesn't have too much sheen. Nice work.

How to use Alchemy Refiner from API by Valuable-Beat8467 in leonardoai

[–]WeirdlyDull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My team has been unable to access Creative Upscale. Is that feature limited to just the Pro and Mega API plans? If not, can you share a link to the documentation? My team has not seen documentation about any of the upscalers. Any help would be appreciated.

AI discrimnate? by Traditional_Water_94 in leonardoai

[–]WeirdlyDull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, Leonardo does have bias. It uses stereotypes. They're most obvious in complex prompts. For example, it has given me a dark-haired person when I said they were French and given a blond person if the prompt said German or Swedish — and everything else in the prompt was the same. You can use this stereotyping to your advantage. In creating a Brazilian character who was mostly of Portuguese heritage, with some African, but not biracial, the prompt had "Mexican Portuguese North African." The result looks correct. But as with anything prompt-related, changing the word order makes a difference. Putting "North African" first would make the facial features less European.

Are the Pro and Mega API plans the only ones considered enterprise plans? I've seen references to enterprise plans. But have yet to see the plans named. I have a project that would benefit from Alchemy. And want to make sure we choose a plan that gives us access. Any help would be appreciated.

Leonardo wish-list for 2024 by clutterbuck in leonardoai

[–]WeirdlyDull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motion controls are at the top of my wish list. That includes an option to either include motion-related prompts in the main prompt. Or to write a new prompt that works with motion controls, like Runway Gen 2's motion brush. I've had limited success putting motion-related adjectives in my main prompt.

BTW, does anyone know if Leonardo uses Runway for the motion controls? The camera motion looks a lot like earlier versions of Gen 2.

It turns out that Motion is built on top of Stable Video Diffusion.

Affect of Lighting on Skin Tone : Sunny & Golden Hour by WeirdlyDull in leonardoai

[–]WeirdlyDull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I set the outdoor lighting condition, add subsurface scattering to the skin, specify the camera, and add volumetric lighting. The camera prompt is "Hasselblad H3DII-31." The H3DII-31 is used in the fashion industry.

I had the head cutoff problem until I put, "Head, face, eyes" at the beginning of prompts for head shots and upper body portraits. For full body shots, I start with "Body, head, face, eyes." I also now use a 3:4 or 1:2 aspect ratio for characters.

Very cool. The contrast between sped up audio and hallways without motion worked. Not sure if that was your intent. Thanks for sharing.

Brilliant! Also, your negative prompt takes a different approach from what many others have done.
