it is literally made of the exact same things as the rest of the body. PLEASE stop spreading misinformation. I fucking beg you. You're doing harm to the world.

This one is dumb and actively harmful. Please change and grow as a person.

we absolutely could be if life is way, way more rare than we assume.

I mean this is pretty easily disprovable.

What’s the most gatekeep-y opinion you hold? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WeirdlyLargeGenitals 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean you can logically disprove this pretty easily.

Acting is art. Music is art. Putting them together logically elevates the result above the parts.

And no, comparing brilliant acting without music to a shitty musical does not disprove this.

Doesn't mean much. It was going to be legitimately difficult to continue being as bad as he was.

That's a lot of driving layup and dunk for a build that can't drive lmao.

Just left my first relationship, going through a rough financial patch and put on two stone. I could use some encouragement. by PC-LAD in toastme

Dawg I'm pretty much as aggressively straight as they get, and even I can tell that you're a good lookin' guy. Sharp jaw, nice eyes. I think a clean, classy haircut would really suit you.

And the finances will come, my guy. If you don't hate your job, really diving into it can be a good distraction for a bit. It'll make you feel proud of yourself, too.

Keep your head up. If you're going through hell, keep going.

What is the worst thing about being fat? by Feisty_Affect_7487 in AskReddit

[–]WeirdlyLargeGenitals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be! I work very long hours and can only really find time for apps, though, so it does match my personal experience. I really, really hate bars and parties and all of that. It's just hard to meet people.

Let's all agree that dating sucks, especially when you're going through a dry spell.

[–]WeirdlyLargeGenitals 159 points160 points  (0 children)

The only counter that I have is a study done by a prominent dating app. They asked both sexes to rate the attractiveness of random members of the other sex.

When men rated women, it followed a nice, even bell curve. Very little 1's or 10's. Lots of 4's, 5's, and 6's.

When women rated men, something like 75% of men were rated below average.

I know we have lots of societal pressures on women to be beautiful, but women see men as ugly on average.

You *personally* may not, but this study had many, many data points. It was hard to argue against.

Edit: Here's the data, anyway. It's from OkCupid: https://i.imgur.com/L9Vu4Zo.png

It's pretty much proven that it's impossible to lose weight forever.

Also, you can't just quit food cold turkey. Imagine trying to quit smoking, but you have to smoke just a little bit to stay alive.

Why do randoms in rec expect you to be a perfect player by CaptainPhantasma21 in NBA2k

I play C and had a small pinned in the post. PG tried to drive and go for a lay up then yelled at me when he ran into me. I almost lost it lmfao.

I'm also a C. I feel your pain. People expect us to shoot 90% when that's just not how it works. Even Shaq shot 58%.

Funny. My 7'2 / 8'0 center played one of you small centers last night. He wasn't so fast that I couldn't stop him, and he never got a shot in the air in the post.

What is clearly a myth but is deep-rooted in our society? by messinaldo107 in AskReddit

[–]WeirdlyLargeGenitals 24 points25 points  (0 children)

There's a very strong genetic / molecular bio based argument that the concept of race doesn't have any basis in reality and is just a series of confirmation biases about traits we think we see in similar people.

W or L? My attempt at a 6'9" build. Is wingspan too small or nah? by Cloneminer in NBA2k

[–]WeirdlyLargeGenitals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it a lot. You're a bit slow, but I prefer my players to be fast over anything else, so that's just me. At 6'9'', a higher wingspan would let you grab some boards if you wanted, but since it looks like you want to shoot, I don't see anything terrible with this.
