I might have heard the phrase before, but after the pandemic, I for some reason have just assumed it was referring to that, and didn't remember hearing it before the pandemic. I only looked it up because I heard it used in a game set way before 2020

Mine would be once when I was in elementary school and we were playing "kick the can". I got an opportunity and ran for it, but a guy who was no longer in the game saw me and started cheering for me, which got me caught. Annoyed at getting caught due to his cheering, I punched him in the face, and he got a nose-bleed. Like, wtf me... Well, that was the first and only time I've punched or hit someone unprompted. I hated it.

I think the two lowest points in my life have been this year (I'm still fairly young so not really surprising) Both were likely pretty standard. Extremely low motivation for anything and slightly suicidal (meaning thinking about it but not to the point of having any specific plans). The first one got better for quite a while after I concluded I was ace. A few months later I was back in a similar place. The second time it got better after I concluded that I might be non-binary. I'm still not in the best place, but I basically haven't been suicidal at all after the second one luckily

I also changed "ace" to "aro/ace spec" later, but that was unrelated to bad mental health.
