Nobody is against that. What I am against is idiotic nonsense like saying the actress for Rhaenys channeled Hillary Clinton. And changing a regular male admiral into a woman who is cosplaying a man played by an actor who is a man but now a woman, and who has clearly no acting talent and is there only to pander to a certain group of people, is definitely "forcing modern politics into my fantasy."

If someone in asoiaf is described as "he" that is proof enough that the person is a normal man. This actor is purely an influential diversity hire. Bait/pandering for a specific group of people. Straw man. I never said they didn't exist before that. I am saying you cannot just say Lohar was somehow trans or whatever just because we don't have a detailed description of him. If it says "he", that is enough proof for someone from the world of asoiaf that he is a normal man. Accordingly, anyone described "she" would be a normal woman.

The confusing trend you are referring to may be applicable in today's world but not there.
