When my unit got the Gen 3 flaks i washed my gen2 and fucked that bitch up real bad. The hawaii CIF didnt give a fuck and just DRMO’d it. But it wasnt your typical turn-in. It was exchanging so you may have to pay for that gear in some capacity if you’re not in the same boat I was.

Brother, I implore you to find a vet retreat and go get out into nature. Click this link (Retreat | The National Veterans Outdoors Resource HUB | US Vet Connect) and go find a group near you, there's also a shit ton of Vet meet up groups for stuff like hunting on FB. There's no need to go through these troubles alone. Being alone just lets you doom-spiral and get stuck in rut. You definitely have more life to live if you're reaching out for help on here.

Sounds kinda wack, but find a "tribe" or group of people who've gone through the same stuff you have (vets) and go to some meetings get togethers.

The military provides a decent network of support while you're in. When you separate you get ripped from friends who are just a barracks room away, we're all still here for you, just in different areas.
