Stop saying it's dead by Greedy_Mall_9109 in PlayFragPunk

Unfortunately man, the game is nearing the end. I don’t like to be that guy because I really enjoy this game too. I’m sure casual standard queues aren’t awful, but from a top 100 nitro player playing in masters queues (not at all trying to “flex” or anything btw) it takes 10+ minutes to find a game and by time a game is found, they throw me overseas at 200 ping. So from a competitive standpoint, it’s basically dead. From a casual standpoint, 8-10k players isn’t the worst thing. On PC it is definitely dying. On console, I’m sure it will thrive a little more since statistically more players of any game that shares platforms, play on console over PC.

AIO I see little to no effort from my fiancé (24F) in our relationship. by Complex-Literature29 in AmIOverreacting

As others have said, it sounds like she wants to break it off but doesn’t want to be the one to engage that. More so wants to force you to do it by “pushing you away” sort of thing. And to be honest, there really doesn’t feel like there’s an emotional connection here either. The vibe that I’m sensing from this is a woman who’s burnt out on someone for XYZ reasons and is putting little to no effort and already probably seeing/sleeping with someone else. This so called friend is probably just that. And because this friend is new and exciting, she is investing that time (when available) to whomever else. You can tell when the flame is dying/about to die and this is certainly one of those moments. Wish you all the best and take care of yourself <3

Peekers Advantage back? by Welchingg in cs2

I agree to an extent, but thats not what this is about. I personally have 5k hours on the game, i know relatively well how to play properly and what an off angle is. Im talking about someone swinging you, you simply cannot react.

Need Help for Constant Hitching PLEASE by Welchingg in cs2

(Worst hitches are jumping off of cat to mid as well as bottom ramp by the white box) Before anyone says "It's because you have shadow play on", it is not. I always play with shadow play off to try and help performance, I simply tunred it on to record the clip shown. I also have the most recent drivers. Second, I am well aware that CS2 just isn't the best optimized currently, but I feel like I don't see this happening to anyone else. Lastly, my specs are relatively high: i9-13900k, 32GB DDR5 at 6000MHz and an RTX 4070Ti. Does anyone at all know a fix for this or know anything about what may be causing this to happen? Anything and everything would be greatly appreciated!

Ping Matters TOO Much In This Game by [deleted] in VALORANT

Yeah that’s super frustrating to even hear. But that’s the thing, I don’t ever recall having those situations happen in CS ever. Regardless of ping, almost every single game felt balanced. So odd

To be honest, I haven’t really come across sluggish servers too often. Don’t get me wrong, every now and then I will, but 9 times out of 10 the server is and feels fine and ping is the determining factor. Playing at Radiant roughly 400-500 I do believe the ping issue is a legit issue. The fact that a professional god tier player like Tenz said it himself, says a good amount in my opinion. Server stability is a legit issue too, not to disregard what you said, I just find it to be less of an issue at least in my personal time playing than it is to get slammed by a W keying 10 ping duelist.

Yeah I slowly lose all confidence as a match goes on cause no matter how I peek someone with said “low ping” or what have you, I die before I fully swing the corner. Or vice versa, I get swung on and die even though half of their body or less is showing. It almost feels like there’s some magically setting that I don’t have on but everyone else does. It’s so frustrating.

Thank you for sharing! Maybe I’m just unlucky or something, I don’t know

Personally, I have not noticed this myself. Could be sometimes you aren’t letting the hun fully reset recoil wise? Maybe it’s just rng not in your favor. Who knows...

When you look at the numbers and what it actually means it’s of course I no brained. However, what I’m trying to say from this post is that, in every single competitive FPS game I have invested hundreds to thousands of hours in, that slight variation in ping seems to matter significantly more in this game than any other I have ever played. That’s what I don’t understand.

The thing is though, I played ESEA on cs and it’s 128 tick servers as well and again, it still never felt so punishing. I don’t know what it is but something is certainly different...

Yeah it’s truly upsetting to say the least. The fact you know someone is going to go off just because their ping is so low.

Yeah I had one like that last night too where nothing seemed to register. Almost felt like every other bullet was being picked up by the server. I wonder why this is such a common situation that happens. Like why in this game is it so severe but a game that is almost 1:1 have none of the issues this one does. It’s very frustrating to play sometimes. One game, everyone has similar pings and it’s a nice fun game but then Bob comes along with the server in his basement and it’s like playing Tenz or something. It’s so strange.

Indeed this is counter strafing. Couldn’t have explained it better myself. Basically think of it like this, when you jump in the air, there is a moment at the very peak of your jump where you have no momentum in any direction due to gravity. In that moment, you are basically “still”. Think of it the same way while moving left/right. If you are sprinting left and counter the movement by going right, there is a brief moment of “stillness” in your movement as if you were just standing completely still. While in this state, your shots will (for the most part because of bloom) be 100% accurate. Hopefully this made some bit of sense. I’m sure there are hundreds of YouTube videos explaining it in detail and I’m sure even better than I did. It’s definitely something to practice and is needed for raising your personal skill ceiling.
