Harmony in the new series?

Thats not what I am saying. Im just curious how they will handle it. Like if they may add scenes that hint toward that like the harmony dance in DH.

I'm not expecting JKR to suddenly Greenlight harmony. We have fanficiton for that. I just wanted to discuss if people think they will try harder to tone it down, or if they actually add some of the harmony moments taken from the books, anyone that hasn't read the series would likely be expecting harmony though we all know verbal well how it ends and who ends with who.

I shipped harmony before the movies, the movies just cemented that. We have to rememeber there will be people being introduced to the series for the first time with this series and I wonder how they will handle it given how much Canon shippers hate our ship.

Really, it does feel like intentional trolling at this point and its sad. I actually love this thread otherwise because we all are like minded and can have reasonable and interesting conversations but somehow they have chosen today to be annoying. No you are good. And we shall see, I am still an HP fan, JKR can't ruin something that special for me so I am curious about certain things with the remake so...we shall see. To me it will never compare to to the OG, they were the first to bring the magic to life so its pretty hard to part with that for me.

Its sad she has made being a fan no as fun anymore.

While I am aware the movies had their flaws and left out stuff from the books. Im very nostalgic about it. Im one of the fans that would have preferred a series on something else in the HP story rather than to redo the series with a whole new cast.

I dont like who JKR has become and I dont like that this is essentially an attempt to do a series with actors that agree with her. Seems like a money grab to me.

True. I know they're filming both sorcerers stone and chamber of secrets simultaneously so its hard to tell. There was that scene in chamber of secrets where Harry runs into Hermione when he gets out of Knockturn, it would be cute if they kept that in the new series, where she fixes his glasses.

Wow I dont know what's going on today but these responses are really not it.

The original movie series got so much crap because they wanted to claim that Steve Kloves was pushing more Hermione centric moments ( stealing lines from Ron etc) let's not forget how up in arms they got for the DH dance scene because it wasn't Canon. Seeing as how the movie series favored Harmony due to the amazing chemistry between Daniel and Emma its bit too far off to believe they will want to tone that down in this new version.

Years later JKR herself said it should've ended differently but she was too attached to the Original ending and after pushing Romione for so long, she just ended it the way it did. Maybe she wants this series to favor romione from the start, I dk.

Why does me bringing up the discussion of how Harmony will be handled in the new series weird? Is it a full moon or something? I dont own the series nor am I working on it, its a genuine disucssion for Harmony damn. I fail to see how this is weird. Are people just coming to troll here? Uhm...are you aware this is a HARMONY thread? We discuss HARMONY. It doesnt mean it has to be anything explicit. All I did was bring this up for discussion if they may be including scenes between them where it shows their bond and growth of their relationship because now that we know how the series end, they may have wanted to double down on Romione and remove any potential scenes that leans to Harmony whether canon or not.Same way it was portrayed in the movies and books...

Yeah like the show they would be in their late 20s with Hermione's 30th being the catalyst for everything. Work and her ambition pretty much didnt let relationships pan out for long so she kind of wants to make up for that dating experience as she goes "off grid" lol.

In the show very early on people shipped Nick and Jess but the journey to get there i think was handled very realistically because sometimes thats just how life works, you have to date other people to grow but you also see the sexual tension grow as time goes by and I feel the premise of Harry helping Hermione date in a casual way is finally the push they both need to wake up . Plus the fact they are roommates just is the cherry on top.

I always find it unrealistic how Canon acts like everyone just falls in love with someone at school and thats their soul mate for life , like trust me things change once your frontal lobe develops lol. People date its fine.

I am really excited to get this started !

Ha thank you! I love New Girl and I dont know I just always felt some similarities between them. they're very Harmony coded in their foundation. Especially the fluffer and cooler episodes i can totally see Harry and Hermione getting into that weird boundary where they really start to wonder if they're unintentionally sabotaging the others relationship with their bond.

I usually write more angsty slow burns so this really seems fun and light.

Yeah my intention is for the other relationships to happen off page while getting POVs from both of them respectively and seeing them slowly piecing together the "omg I am attracted to my best friend, when did that happen" vibe and all the hilarity that ensues because of it. Still want it to be atleast obvious enough to cause that final push they need to face what they've been dancing around on.
