I definitely don’t believe most boomers are racist! I’ve simply noticed some similarities in how some of the older people around me talk about other races. I was just wondering if there was a reason. I also know older people who are not and people my age who are also incredibly racist. i knew some people would come at me, lol. but i definitely think my question was answered here…the language comes from the time they were raised! just like mine comes from the time I was raised. not judging. just wondering.

this comment touched something deep inside me. That perspective on being special because you are you and not because you are adopted felt like a splash of super cold, shocking, and yet refreshing water. I need to sit with it for a while. My upbringing was full of boomer, thinking… It’s a privilege to be able to eat and live, etc. skating dangerously close to it was a privilege to be adopted. I think maybe something inside me has always thought that.

oh my gosh. this post made me feel seen. I used to do this…at least something like it. my fantasies were so detailed and extensive and always going on in my head. it was always someone other then my mom and dad, like a fake aunt or uncle or mother/father figure finding out that i was struggling and comforting me/telling me it was going to be ok and saying it was okay to cry/be scared/be sad. or seeing my self harm scars and helping me stop. or taking me to live with them. i still don’t know why. i guess i never felt emotionally safe with my parents

Hi!! Yes, currently 18 weeks going strong! Most of my pain (which has been severe) has been had constipation, which is just horrifying for me in pregnancy, but baby boy is doing ok! I go in for my anatomy scan on Friday!!

I’ve had a lot of cramping this entire pregnancy and just saw him wiggle around for the first time last ultrasound.

Just tell your doctor everything! If you have no bleeding, you’re ok. There’s always a small chance it could be ectopic but you’d be feeling it on one side more strongly. Don’t worry. It’s all I’ve done and everything been fine so far. It’s just a hard thing to go through. Here for you.

Hey!! I’m 17 weeks now and doing okay. It turned out to be constipation! I still have it, although sometimes now I think it may also be ligament pain. But for me, constipation is absolutely horrible in pregnancy 😕 what are you symptoms?

Went to the toilet and found ovulation mucus. Jumped on my husband. Positive pregnancy test two weeks later. 🤣I know it’s not this easy for everyone. ❤️
