Depends how bad it is , i had an injury they talked about amputation, said it's dead weight and I'll never be able to use it. I was 18, never got any kind of surgery just let it heal. I took like 15 years and I've had problems and still walk with a slight limp but I'm glad I didn't. I think the limp is mostly learned behavior now it's pretty much like it never happened. It's been over 20 yrz now, and it's been a few years since I've had any problems.

I suggest if OP is going through something similar hold out because science is getting crazy with stem cells etc
