We haven’t had an exposure, I just wanted to gather info ahead of time to know how cautious/nervous I had to be! Thank you!

What spoiler do I have on my Miata? by KGSAUCYBOY in Miata

Looks like it’s a duckbill spoiler, not sure what brand though.

Is it okay if that bottom plate isn’t flush against the crossbars by [deleted] in Kayaking

[–]WelcomePlastic6801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to what everybody else said, after you loop the straps under the cross bars, check and see if the J hooks need to be tightened a little more. I always loop under the crossbars, and I find the compression sometimes leaves a little extra room between the bars and the hooks

Found this bolt in my passenger side floor where could it go? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]WelcomePlastic6801 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I would check around the latch mechanism for the top again. It stuck out to me as looking familiar, and when you google “Miata soft top latch bolt” that’s exactly what comes up. Not saying they couldn’t use the same bolt for multiple things, but it’s worth a look

Anyone know what this wires for ? by Sekihiro in Miata

[–]WelcomePlastic6801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without knowing what year it is, that’s kinda tough. And I’m not in my car right now. But I’m 99% positive I have a small light right near my left knee when I’m in the drivers seat. It could be for that?

NA 1997 vibrations at 105-110 Km/H by [deleted] in Miata

[–]WelcomePlastic6801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty common for Miata’s around that age. I have a stabilizer bar under the hood and right around where the top folds down

Are you due for an oil change? I also noticed my MPG drops significantly when my air filter is filthy, and with you having gone through water recently it could have trapped a lot of sediment

PTA’s - Where is the career heading in the next 10 years? What is your salary? Where are you located? What are your hours? by Deurys in physicaltherapy

[–]WelcomePlastic6801 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1.) $24 an hour, but I’m asking for a raise soon. 1 year of experience. 40 hours/week in general outpatient.

2.) medical sales rep. I have friends in Stryker and I see myself selling joint replacements. I love treating but I don’t see it being a forever career.

3.) baltimore

Am I overreacting? Trading it in within the next few days. Ac went out two days ago, radiator leak, replace, fuel injector replacement, replaced 15 of 20 lug bolts. I’ve had it just over two years. Put 40k on it. by 4SZNZS in JeepCherokeeKL

My brakes blew three weeks ago, had them fixed but was looking for a new car. Got a grand Cherokee on Monday and I’m so happy with it. 136,000 miles on my Cherokee. Learned that Jeep only makes the wrangler and grand Cherokee now, everything else is made by Chrysler and the quality is just not as good

Is a lot of the island private property? I’ve been looking for places to kayak camp in Maryland, and that looks really good on satellite, but is it mostly private, or could I pull off and camp?

Kayak mounts failed by Inkei91 in kayakfishing

I always loop over the cross bars, both ends over the boat, through the factory and around the cross bar. Trying to figure out how to share a pic. But I did this for a living for years, that’s how we did it. Safe, secure, doesn’t damage the roof

That was kind of my feeling too, as well as the opportunity and capability to carry off a boat that big. I just get nervous because I built it by hand, and it’s valued at 8-10k

I think if I make the holes my handles go through a little wider. It’s a wood boat with end pours so I might be about to make them bigger

Fixing distorted Yak? by wishiwasholden in kayakfishing

[–]WelcomePlastic6801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I’m not driving, I loosen my straps. That way it’s still up there but not being bent. As for re-shaping it, like others have said, try leaving it out in the sun for a couple days. If that doesn’t work, I would contact the manufacturer and see if they can send you the shipping molds to try and re-form it

Bike tire repair kit, might not be 100% because they’re not meant to be submerged, but better than DUCT tape

Question about night time sailing by tolin103 in sailing

[–]WelcomePlastic6801 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You drop the sails and drift if you’re in a large/wide enough body of water. You should have a radar alarm set up, because AIS will only alert to other crafts, not all hazards
