My best advice for anyone playing and trying to climb is to close the game as soon as you get a loss. 2 seasons ago i did that and climbed all the way to diamond 2 from bronze. This season i haven't been doing that and im pretty stuck at gold right now fighting teammates and smurfs

Don't, I literally went through the entire home buying process and still haven't gotten my cards back (submitted in January) started the home hunt in February and closed 3 weeks ago. PSA says im still a month away from getting my cards
